NBA Tips & Betting Preview | Thursday 4 March

Utah Jazz (27-8) at Philadelphia 76ers (23-12)

The Jazz have struggled on this road-trip thus far after 2 defeats against the Pelicans and Heat. So they'll be looking to get back on track against the 76ers. In one of the positives out of the loss to the Pelicans, Bogdanovic had one of his best games of the season with 31 pts, which included 7 threes. But the key against the 76ers should be Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley, who have good matchups against this defence.

Meanwhile, the 76ers rebounded from a shock loss to the Cavs with a 130-114 victory over the Pacers. Despite missing Tobais Harris and Joel Embiid struggling through a back injury, the 76ers bench got the job done. Especially, Milton and Korkmaz as they combined for 45 pts.

While the Jazz beat the 76ers this season, they struggled in road games recently and also have a poor record in Philadelphia. So for a bit of value, take the home underdogs to make a statement before the All-Star break.

Stadium Record

The 76ers have been strong at home recently with 5 wins out of 6. The Jazz have lost 3 straight at this venue.

Head to Head Record

Utah won the earlier meeting of this season, 134-123. Since 2015, the two sides are 5-5 against each other.

Best Bet

76ers Win $2.16

Brooklyn Nets (23-13) at Houston Rockets (11-22)

The storyline in this matchup is obviously James Harden against his former side and he's coming off a huge outing against the Spurs. In the Nets 124-113 OT win, the Beard collected a triple-double (30 pts, 15 asts, 14 rebs) and will be looking for another against his former team. Especially with Kevin Durant out with a hamstring. Kyrie Irving also made his return from injury last time out and scored 27 pts with 6 threes.

It's a tough time at the moment for the Rockets after 12 straight defeats and that includes a shocking 133-84 loss against the Grizzlies recently. They really miss the injured Christian Wood and most teams have taken advantage against the undersized Rockets.

It's simply hard to see the Rockets causing an upset as James Harden will be extra motivated to fill up the statsheet against his former team. So we'll be backing the Nets to get the victory.

Stadium Record

The Rockets have lost all of their last 5 games. Brooklyn holds a 5-1 ATS record in Houston.

Head to Head Record

Since 2015, the Rockets have won 6 of the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Nets -6.5 $1.91

Golden State Warriors (19-16) at Portland Trail Blazers (19-14)

The Warriors head to Portland after a disappointing 117-91 against the Lakers, which also ended a 3 game winning streak. As a team, the Warriors went just 40% from the field and Steph Curry couldn't get much going as the Warriors played more of their bench players in the blowout result.

The Trail Blazers ended a 4 game skid with an important 123-111 victory over the Hornets last time out. Carmelo Anthony turned back the clock with a huge 29 pts off the bench and Damian Lillard got his team-mates involved with 10 assists. He'll have another good matchup against the Warriors and should enjoy the battle against Curry.

Interesting to see the Trail Blazers as home underdogs here. They're a much better team on their home court with a 9-6 record and have also beaten the Warriors at this venue in the last 2 meetings. The Warriors also have a losing record on the road and come off a poor result against the Lakers.

Stadium Record

The Warriors are 2-3 at this venue in their last 5 games. Portland has won 4 of their last 5 home games.

Head to Head Record

The Warriors hold a 6-4 record against the Trail Blazers since 2019. In the 2 meetings this season, the two sides have won one game against each other.

Best Bet

Trail Blazers Win $1.98
