NFL Week 7 Preview Betting Tips & Preview

BlueBet previews the NFL Week 7 action below. Read on for our best bets per game and an overview of the feature games this week.

Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders

Date: Friday 10:25 am. Venue: Oakland
Odds: Raiders $2.32, Chiefs $1.64

The Raiders host the Chiefs on Friday at Oakland. We'll provide a betting preview of the game below.

Form Guide:

The Chiefs undefeated season is over after a close loss against the Steelers last week. But they’ll be pumped for a AFC West clash against the Raiders.

Oakland have lost four in a row and their playoff hopes are slipping away. Quarterback Derek Carr has struggled with injury this season and the Raiders have been inconsistent as a result.

Head to Head Record:

The Chiefs are 5-0 against the Raiders since 2014 and they’re also 3-1 against them on the road. The Raiders last beat the Chiefs 24-20 in Week 12, 2014.

Point Spread:

The Chiefs failed to cover the line last week but they’re still 5-1 ATS this season. They’re also 5-0 ATS on the road and 11-3 ATS against the Raiders in Oakland. While for the Raiders, they’re 1-4 ATS and 5-10 ATS in their last 15 home games. So based on those records, the Chiefs are the best bet at -3.

Best bet: Chiefs -3.0 ($1.94)

Total Points:

In Oakland, the over total points is 7-1 and 2-1 this season. The Chiefs were kept quiet last week with 13 points, but they have scored 21 or more points in the last five meetings. They’re also 5-1 against the over total in their last 6 road games. So we would take the over total.

Best bet: Over 46.5 points ($1.91)

Tip:

Chiefs WIN ($1.64)
Friday games this year have seen a few upsets occur but it’s tough to back against the 5-1 Chiefs. The Raiders are 0-4 since Week 2 and on a short week, we can’t see an improvement.

Atlanta Falcons at New England Patriots

Date: Monday 10:30 am. Venue: Foxborough
Odds: Patriots $1.52, Falcons $2.62

The Patriots host the Falcons in the Super Bowl rematch on Monday at Foxborough. We'll provide a betting preview of the game below.

Form Guide:

New England survived a close game last week against the Jets and they’ve played in four straight close games. But they still sit at 4-2 atop the AFC East with the best Quarterback in the NFL (Tom Brady).

The Falcons have lost two straight at home against AFC East teams and they meet another in New England on Monday morning. They’ll be using the Super Bowl loss as extra motivation and would love to knock off the Patriots this time.

Head to Head Record:

The two sides met in the Super Bowl last year and the Patriots won in overtime after they were down 28-3. In the regular season, the Patriots are 5-0 against the Falcons and Atlanta haven’t won in Foxborough since 1998. But the last two meetings have been decided by 7 points or under, so we’re expecting another close one.

Point Spread:

The Patriots will open as favourites and they’re 18-7 ATS overall. At home they’re 10-5 ATS but they have failed to cover in all 3 home games this season. While for the Falcons, they’re 2-0 ATS on the road this season and 7-1 ATS on the road since 2016. So we would back the Falcons to get within 3.5 points.

Best bet: Falcons +3.5 ($1.92)

Total Points:

New England’s defence has showed improvement on the road lately but they’ve conceded a total of 108 points at home this season (36ppg). The over is 3-0 in those games and it’s 5-2 in this matchup. The Falcons are 19-5 against the over total and they scored 30 points in their last road game. So we’re backing the over total here.

Best bet: Over 54.5 points ($1.87)

Tip:

Patriots WIN ($1.52)
This should be another great contest between Tom Brady and Matt Ryan. It will likely comedown to the last quarter and we would back Brady at home over Ryan.

Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles

Date: Tuesday 10:30 am. Venue: Philadelphia
Odds: Eagles $1.44, Redskins $2.89

The Eagles host the Redskins on Tuesday at Philadelphia. We'll provide a betting preview of the game below.

Form Guide:

The 5-1 Eagles are looking for a crucial divisional win on Tuesday against the Redskins. They upset the Panthers on the road last week and will be fresh from a Friday game as well.

Washington won a 2 point home game against the 49ers last week and they sit at 3-2. But it wasn't a great performance against the winless 49ers, so the Eagles will be a tough test.

Head to Head Record:

The two sides met in Week 1 and the Eagles won 30-17 on the road. However, the Redskins have won the last 2 at Philadelphia. Overall, the Redskins lead 8-7 since 2010.

Point Spread:

The Eagles are 4.5 point favourites for this game and they’re 5-0 ATS. But at home against the Redskins, they’re just 1-6 ATS. The Redskins are 6-2 ATS on the road and they have a good record in Philadelphia. So in a potential close NFC East battle, we’re taking the Redskins +4.5.

Best bet: Redskins +4.5 ($1.94)

Total Points:

The total of 48.5 points is 18-7 against the over total in the Redskins’ last 25 games overall. It’s also 4-1 in this matchup at Philadelphia. The Eagles have scored 26+ points in their last 4 games. The Redskins are averaging 23.4 ppg this season. We’re backing the over total here.

Best bet: Over 48.5 points ($1.92)

Tip:

Eagles WIN ($1.44)
Based on last week, the Redskins were made to work by the winless 49ers (0-6 record). While for the Eagles, they beat the Panthers (4-1 at the time) on the road. With the extra rest and home field advantage, that’s enough for us to back the Eagles in a close encounter.
