We get another chapter of the best rivalry in football, the Showdown between the Crows and Power, as we provide a multi featuring all three of Saturday's games.
Carlton Blues vs West Coast Eagles
Leg 1 - Nic Newman 20+ Disposals
Carlton's most reliable user from back half has certainly found his rhythm after missing all of the 2025 season.
Nic Newman's first two games back this season resulted in two 19-disposal games, but since then he's hit 20+ disposals in his last nine games.
Under Josh Fraser, Newman is averaging 23 disposals and has hit 25+ in two of his last three. The Blues clearly trust Newman with ball in hand, having moved away from Ollie Florent a bit in recent weeks.
Collingwood Magpies vs Richmond Tigers
Leg 2 - Under 166.5 Total Points
This appears to be a low scoring contest when Collingwood and Richmond face off at the MCG on Saturday.
Collingwood feature in the second lowest scoring games in the AFL this season, with 162.6 points per game, and although they're 13th on total points when you remove their demolition of Essendon, they drop to 15th.
Richmond on the other hand are the lowest scoring team in the competition with just 65.4 points per game, and notoriously play in low scoring games at the MCG in the Yze era. In their last 18 MCG games, only two have gone over the total points, with an average of 146.1 points per game.
Leg 3 - Jasper Alger 1+ Goals
I know Lalor has been great when available, but Jasper Alger has emerged as one of the better players the Tigers selected from their 2024 draft haul.
Alger has shown real promise as a small forward for Richmond, and has kicked eight goals in his last three games.
Although Alger kicked just one goal against North Melbourne last week, he did have three scoring shots and his confidence appears to be growing with the continuity at the top level.
Port Adelaide Power vs Adelaide Crows
Leg 4 - Josh Worrell 20+ Disposals
Josh Worrell returns to this Crows outfit for the Showdown, and will have a very important role with Wayne Milera out.
Milera has been Adelaide's primary ball user from defensive 50, and although they've added Hall-Kahan, Worrell's usage should increase in Milera's absence.
Worrell has hit 20+ disposals in 12 of his 13 games this season, and had 22 disposals in their Round 8 clash. This shouldn't be an issue for the intercept defender.
