Premier League Preview Matchday 38
Brighton and Hove Albion vs Manchester City
It’s only fair that both Manchester City and Liverpool are the last two teams standing with one game left to play, as the Premier League prepares to go down to the wire. Manchester City will be the emphatic favourites against a Brighton outfit that very narrowly escaped relegation. Confidence levels in the Blues camp will be high after disposing of both Tottenham and rivals Manchester United in the last several weeks, as well as defeating Leicester City earlier this week in dramatic circumstances. Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan could indeed play a very important cameo for Brighton, and along with his Seagull teammates, will be doing their best to prevent City from winning their second consecutive league title.
Tip: Under 3.5 goals - $1.82
Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Scenes will be tense and frantic at Anfield on Sunday when the Reds square up against Wolves, taking their one last chance of securing title glory for the first time in 29 years. Liverpool were able to knock off Newcastle last weekend in dramatic fashion, courtesy of a late Divock Origi goal, and will need to up their game against a composed and impressive Wolves outfit on Sunday. Featuring stars such as Ruben Neves and Raul Jiminez, Wolves have had a strong record against top-six clubs this season, but it would take a lot to defeat a determined Liverpool side with everything to play for. But regardless of Liverpool’s performance, their destiny lies in Manchester City’s hands.
Tip: Liverpool to keep a clean sheet - $1.90
Tottenham vs Everton
With Tottenham all but securing their place in the Champions League for next season, this match won’t have too much on the line. However, it could give a great indication of where both teams are at, and how they could possibly fare next season. Tottenham have had another strong and consistent season, although their injury riddles have caused their Premier League form to plateau, winning only three of their last 10 premier league games. In contrast, Everton, who have been disappointing for a large majority of the season, have managed to turn the tide somewhat over the last couple of months, claiming a few big scalps and recording several clean sheets. Two usually consistent sides in the Premier League, could this bout be an indication of who to look out for in the 2019/2020 season?
Tip: Everton +1.0 - $1.72
