Good Friday delivers some important games of footy, with Carlton looking to redeem themselves after blowing a 43-point lead against Melbourne last week, while North Melbourne chase their third win of the season. The Crows, meanwhile, cannot afford to start the season 1-3.
North Melbourne vs Carlton Blues
North Melbourne has struggled on Good Friday in recent years, but they have to be considered a strong chance to change that this season. There is also a strong scoring trend when these two teams meet under the roof at Marvel Stadium.
LEG 1 - Over 177.5 Total Points
These two teams have played plenty of games against each other at Marvel Stadium and they’ve consistently produced high-scoring matches.
Across their last eight matchups at Marvel, the average total points is 198.8, with all eight games going over the total points line by an average margin of around 25 points.
Scoring across the AFL slowed slightly last week, but this matchup still shapes as a high-scoring game.
LEG 2 - Harry Sheezel 30+ Disposals
Sheezel is finding an enormous amount of the ball to start the season and it continues the form he showed late in 2025.
He is averaging 34.7 disposals per game this season and has recorded 30+ disposals in all three games so far.
If we include the end of last season, Sheezel has recorded 30+ disposals in his last seven games and also had 30+ in both games against Carlton last year.
Adelaide Crows vs Fremantle Dockers
The Crows have put themselves in positions to beat both Geelong and the Bulldogs over the last fortnight but couldn’t finish the job. Returning to Adelaide Oval, they face another strong opponent in Fremantle.
LEG 3 - Fremantle to Win
This looks a nice price for Fremantle. They haven’t beaten many top teams yet but they are travelling better than Adelaide and probably should be undefeated after letting a big lead slip against Geelong in Round 1.
Fremantle also has a good recent record against Adelaide, going 6-2 since 2018 and covering the line in seven of those eight games, including winning two of their last three at Adelaide Oval.
The Crows regain Dawson and Walker, but Fremantle still looks one of the form teams to start the 2026 season.
LEG 4 - Isaiah Dudley 1+ Goals
Dudley has started the season strongly for Fremantle, kicking seven goals across the first three games.
Across his last ten games where he wasn’t the substitute, he has kicked 16 goals and has kicked at least one goal in nine of those games.
He looks a good inclusion to finish the multi.
