NFL Tips – Steelers Put the Hurt on the Bengals

The Steelers and Bengals renew their AFC North rivalry this Friday, highlighted by two 40 year old QBs going head to head - Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco. Here are my same game multi tips for the Friday morning NFL action.

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (2-4)

The Steelers are looking for a 4th straight win and putting a stranglehold on the division. They easily disposed of the Browns 23-9 last week as the Steelers D was on fire. They had 6 sacks and didn't let in a TD for the entire 4 quarters. Aaron Rodgers has 5 passing TDs in this winning streak and 10 on the season, ranking himself in the top 10 in the league.

Without Joe Burrow on the field, the Bengals are coming off 4 straight losses and the numbers tell the story. They rank last in rushing yards per game and not much better in passing yards (30th). The defence is also getting torched, they're allowing 30.5 pts per game and can't stop the run or pass. The only bright spot was the Joe Flacco and Chase connection last week (10 catches, 94 yards, 1 TD).

Leg #1 - Over 40.5 pts

A high scoring divisional clash looks to be on the cards as the Bengals defence seemingly can't stop anyone. It doesn't get much better at home as the Over is a solid 8-1 in their last 9 home games. It's also 4-1 in their last 5 games at any venue. The last meeting in Cinci was a 44-38 result to the Steelers so let's hope we see something similar.

Leg #2 - Ja'Marr Chase 70+ Receiving Yards

Despite a poor run for the Bengals, Chase has been anything but poor and 70+ receiving yards looks like a safe bet. He comes off 94 and 110 yards in his last 2 games (including 3 TD catches). Joe Flacco targeted him 12 times last week and if the Bengals fall behind, Chase should be his favourite target.

Leg #3 - D.K. Metcalf Anytime Touchdown Scorer

D.K. Metcalf is enjoying life in Pittsburgh. He's looking for a 5th straight game with a TD catch and Aaron Rodgers should enjoy linking up with his favourite wideout this Friday. He had a season high 9 targets last game and that bodes well for a soft matchup.

Same Game Multi

Over 40.5 pts / Ja'Marr Chase 70+ Receiving Yards / D.K. Metcalf Anytime Touchdown Scorer = $4.50

Value Leg - Jonnu Smith Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Jonnu Smith hasn't caught a TD since Week 1 but his record on the road is excellent. He's caught a TD in 4 of his last 5 road games. The Bengals D gave up a TD to a TE last week and hopefully Rodgers can find him in the redzone.

Over 40.5 pts / Ja'Marr Chase 70+ Receiving Yards / D.K. Metcalf Anytime Touchdown Scorer / Jonnu Smith Anytime Touchdown Scorer = $13.00
