NBA Nov 28 Betting Preview & Predictions

2024/2025 NBA Nov 28 Betting Predictions

On Thursday, the Cavs look to go 18-1, the Mavs are without Doncic against the Knicks on their home court and the Thunder look for a 3-0 record against the Warriors in San Fran since last season.

Atlanta Hawks (7-10) at Cleveland Cavaliers (17-1)

The Atlanta Hawks are hoping to snap a three-game losing streak after falling 129-119 to a Luka-less Mavericks team. Jalen Johnson stood out with 28 points, but the team’s defence has been shaky, allowing an average of 121.4 points over their last five games. They’ve struggled against Cleveland recently, going 1-4 against the spread in their last five matchups and losing 11 of their last 14 road games. To make matters tougher, Trae Young is questionable with an Achilles issue.

The Cavaliers have bounced back strong since their first loss of the season to the Celtics, winning two straight in dominant fashion. They crushed the Pelicans by 28 and took down the Raptors by 14, with Donovan Mitchell and Ty Jerome each putting up 26 points in Monday’s 122-108 blowout at home. Cleveland has been a powerhouse at home, covering the spread in their last five games and winning 10 straight at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. However, they’ll be without Caris LeVert, Dean Wade, and Max Strus, all sidelined with injuries.

A lot depends on Trae's status but I still like the Over with or without him. The Hawks are 15-5 against the Over and their defence will likely struggle with the Cavs scoring. The Cavs are also 5-1 against the Over too.

Stadium Record

Cleveland are 9-1 in their last 10 at home. Atlanta are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games when playing on the road against Cleveland.

Head to Head Record

In the last 10, the Hawks are 6-4.

New York Knicks (9-7) at Dallas Mavericks (9-8)

The New York Knicks are coming off a massive 141-118 win over the Nuggets, with OG Anunoby dropping 40 points and Karl-Anthony Towns adding 30. They were lights out from beyond the arc, shooting over 50% as a team. The Knicks have been rolling lately, winning four of their last five games, and they’ve had success in Dallas, covering the spread in six of their last seven games there. However, they’ll be without Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and Precious Achiuwa (hamstring) for this matchup.

The Mavericks are feeling good after a solid 129-119 win over the Hawks, even without Luka Doncic. Kyrie Irving led the way with 32 points, while Jaden Hardy chipped in 23. Dallas has been strong both straight up and against the spread, going 5-1 in their last six games in both categories. With Luka still out indefinitely due to a wrist injury, the Mavs will rely on Kyrie to keep the momentum going.

This is a tough matchup for the Mavs without Doncic so I like the Knicks to continue the momentum from their huge win over Denver. They are 6-1 ATS at this venue too.

Stadium Record

Dallas holds a 3-2 record in their last 5 home games. New York are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games when playing on the road against Dallas.

Head to Head Record

The head to head is tied 5-5.

Best Bet

New York Knicks -4.5 = $1.96

Oklahoma City Thunder (12-4) at Golden State Warriors (12-4)

The Thunder are riding high, coming off back-to-back wins and aiming for a third straight victory. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams were unstoppable in their road trip opener against the Kings, dropping 37 and 28 points, respectively, in a commanding 130-109 win. The Thunder's defence has been locked in, allowing just 104.4 points on average over their last five games. They’ve been solid on the road too, covering the spread in seven of their last nine away games. OKC also has good memories at this venue, winning their last two matchups here against the Warriors in 2023, thanks to big performances from Shai (40 and 23 points). However, they’ll have to manage without Jaylin Williams and Chet Holmgren (both out indefinitely), while Alex Caruso’s status for Wednesday is still uncertain.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are looking to bounce back after two tough losses to the Nets and Spurs. Against the spread, they’ve struggled recently, going 1-5 in their last six games. But at home, they’ve been a different team, winning five of their last six outright. Stephen Curry remains their shining light, dropping 28 points in their last game and scoring 30+ in his last two matchups against OKC. The Warriors got the better of the Thunder earlier this season, winning by 11 (127-116) on November 11, with Curry going off for 36 points.

Both teams are playing well defensively so I like the Under here. The Thunder are 4-2 against the Under in their last 6 and the Warriors are 4-1 in their last 5.

Stadium Record

Golden State are 6-4 in their last 10 at home.

Head to Head Record

The Warriors hold a 6-4 record in the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Under 227.5 pts = $1.96
