NFL Tips & Betting Preview Week 14 21/22 | BlueBet

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5-1) at Minnesota Vikings (5-7)

Pittsburgh rallied to beat the Ravens 20-19 last week and that keeps their playoff hopes alive. Ben Roethlisberger and Diontae Johnson hooked up for 2 touchdowns in the victory. Johnson has caught a touchdown in 5 of his last 7 games when the Steelers are underdogs so he looks a good play in the anytime touchdown markets. While on defence, the Steelers got back on track against the Ravens by allowing just 19 pts after conceding 41 pts in back to back defeats. So they'll need to shutdown the Vikings passing attack in this matchup as well.

A loss to the struggling Detroit Lions in Week 13 has put the Vikings playoff hopes in jeopardy so this is a crucial home game. However, injuries to their offence hasn't made things easy. Adam Thielen hurt his ankle last week and won't play on Friday. Dalvin Cook missed the Lions game and is currently questionable. So the combination between Cousins and Jefferson in the passing game will be important. Meanwhile, the Vikings defence has been one of the worst in the NFL for yards allowed and it's hard to see that improving on a short week.

There's a lot of question marks about the Vikings after losing to the Lions along with their injury list and mediocre defence. Pittsburgh also have playoff hopes and have won 4 of the last 5 meetings with the Vikings. Meanwhile, Minnesota have struggled to cover at home and they've played in a number of close games this season. That should see the Steelers cover the line and possibly pull off an upset.

Stadium Record

The Vikings have covered in just 2 of their last 9 home games. Pittsburgh has a 1-1 record on the road against Minnesota since 2005.

Head to Head Record

The Steelers won the last meeting in 2017, 26-9. In the last 6 meetings, Pittsburgh has won 4 of 6.

Best Bet

Pittsburgh Steelers +4.5 = $1.73

Chicago Bears (4-8) at Green Bay Packers (9-3)

Another disappointing season is coming to the end for the Bears and it's all about getting rookie QB Justin Fields time on the field at this point. He should be back in the lineup in Week 14 after missing 2 games with a rib injury. While their passing attack ranks last in the NFL, the Bears have a strong running game behind David Montgomery. So the Bears gameplan will likely see them keep the ball on the ground to limit turnovers and keep the ball off Aaron Rodgers.

Green Bay will be fresh from the bye and they'll look to continue their dominance of this divisional rivalry. One of the areas of improvement for the Packers this season has been their defence as they rank top 10 in the NFL for yardage allowed on both the ground and air. So a matchup with a Bears offence that scores just 16.8 points per game looks like a comfortable one. Aaron Rodgers also loves playing the Bears and comes off 6 touchdown passes in his last 2 games with 0 turnovers.

The Packers are clear favourites in this matchup and it's hard to see the Bears scoring enough points to keep this one close. Green Bay have also covered in 10 of their last 11 games and need to keep winning to chase down the Cardinals for the #1 seed in the NFC.

Stadium Record

Green Bay is undefeated at home this season (5-0). Chicago has lost their last 5 games at Lambeau Field.

Head to Head Record

In the last 10 meetings, it's been all Green Bay as they hold a 9-1 record.

Best Bet

Green Bay Packers -10.5 = $1.78

Los Angeles Rams (8-4) at Arizona Cardinals (10-2)

After 3 straight defeats, the Rams took out some frustration on the Jags last week in a comfortable 37-7 victory. Cooper Kupp continued his fine season with 129 receiving yards / 1 touchdown. Meanwhile, Sony Michel filled the role at RB with 121 rushing yards and a score. However, starting RB Darrell Henderson Jr. should be back from injury in this one. While the Rams have won 8 of the last 9 meetings, the Cardinals beat them 37-20 at home this season. So Los Angeles will be eager to square the series on the road this Tuesday. They should be able to have success running the football again but the Cardinals do have a strong pass defence and that will be one of the keys to this matchup.

Arizona come off a 33-22 road win over the Bears as their defence forced 4 interceptions and Kyler Murray totalled 4 touchdowns. Injuries to Murray and Hopkins saw them struggle in the middle of the season but a 7-0 start to the season helped their cause. However, they don't have a great record against the Rams at home and will be looking to overturn that on Tuesday.

Both teams are scoring 28 points per game this season and the first meeting of the season totalled 57 points. As a result, this could turn into a shootout between Stafford and Murray. So we like the chances of this game going over 51.5 points.
