EPL Matchweek 22 Betting Preview & Tips

Brighton v Liverpool

Amex Stadium, Sunday 2am

Liverpool are coming off two straight defeats for the first time this season, and will travel to the Amex to face Brighton who are undefeated in their past three matches on Sunday.

The Reds fell to Manchester City in a huge Premier League clash, while their second XI couldn’t get past Wolves in the FA Cup during the week.

Jurgen Klopp put out a weakened side against Wolverhampton as all of Liverpool’s eggs are in their EPL basket at the moment, as they currently hold a four-point lead over City.

The Seagulls are currently in 13th place after a recent win over Everton and a draw against Arsenal, and have managed to put some space between themselves and the bottom three.

Brighton are eight points clear of the relegation scrap, as Chris Hughton has got his side in a safe place on the table.

Liverpool will be itching to bounce back and put the pressure back on City this weekend, and they shouldn’t have too many issues here.

Tip: Liverpool half/full double @ $1.80

Tottenham v Manchester United

Wembley Stadium, Monday 3.30am

In arguably the clash of the round, two heavyweight sides go head-to-head in the nation’s capital, as Manchester United visit Tottenham at Wembley on Monday.

The Spurs come into the clash after a 1-0 midweek Carabao Cup win over Chelsea in the first leg of their semi-final meeting, while United are flying in the league since the addition of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United have scored 14 goals and conceded four during their four wins under the former great, although face their toughest test since the takeover this weekend.

Tottenham are still on the heels of Liverpool, as they sit six points behind the Reds as the third team in the three-horse race for the title.

Most pundits believe only Liverpool and City can walk away as champions at season’s end, although a win for Tottenham here could reignite their challenge.

Tip: Tottenham win @ $2.00

Manchester City v Wolverhampton

Etihad Stadium, Tuesday 7am

After keeping their title challenge alive with a win against Liverpool last time out, City will have renewed confidence they can win back-to-back titles after closing the gap at the top of the table to just four points.

Pep Guardiola’s side struggled before the turn of the year with consecutive losses to Crystal Palace and Leicester, but will be hoping for a surer performance this time around.

Wolves are coming off an FA Cup win at the hands of Liverpool midweek, and will be flying high given their results against the top sides so far this season.

Somewhat surprisingly, the ninth-placed Wolves have beaten Tottenham and Chelsea, drawn with Arsenal, Manchester United and City this season, and if you throw in their win over the Reds during the week, they’ve managed positive results against all top six clubs this campaign.

This one should be a contest, although City should prevail in a high-scoring fixture.

Tip: Over 3.5 goals @ $2.05
