We get another edition of the Grand Final rematch, when the Lions head to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats.
Geelong Cats vs Brisbane Lions
Geelong enters Round 17 off the bye to host the Lions at their fortress, GMHBA Stadium.
The Cats have won 12 of their last 13 at the ground, with that one loss coming against the Lions last year.
Brisbane have found their mojo once again with a convincing win over the Swans. Can they cause another upset in this Grand Final rematch?
Leg 1 - Brisbane +13.5
These two teams have an interesting recent history dating back to 2023. They've met on eight occasions, including last year's Grand Final, and in nearly all of those meetings it's the team that isn't expected to perform that steps up.
From the last eight meetings between the Cats and Lions, the underdog has covered the line in seven of those games, and has won five of the last seven outright.
This includes last year at GMHBA, when the Cats were -18.5 favourites and the Lions won by 41 points. Brisbane's season is well and truly back on track, and this head start appears to be too long.
Leg 2 - Kai Lohmann 1+ Goals
The small forward is having a solid year for the Lions with 24 goals, and is a nice price in this Same Game Multi to hit the scoreboard against the Cats.
Although he failed to kick a goal in their loss to the Cats earlier in the season, Lohmann kicked two goals in each of the last three games he played against Geelong in 2025.
He has kicked a goal in 80% of his games in 2026.
Leg 3 - Max Holmes 25+ Disposals
Somewhat predictable now, but I'll continue to add Max Holmes for 25+ disposals until he fails to hit the mark.
Holmes remains perfect in 2026 for 25+ disposals from his 15 games, which includes having 26 disposals last time he played the Lions.
Dunkley spent most of his time on Bailey Smith in previous meetings, and if he does go to Holmes expect Chris Scott to move him to half back.
Leg 4 - Ollie Dempsey 15+ Disposals
Dempsey plays well at GMHBA Stadium over his career, averaging 18.2 disposals from his last 21 games at the ground and hitting 15+ disposals in 15 of those games.
The wingman is running at a 71% coverage rate over his last 55 games, with 2026 his best season for disposal output averaging 18.4 per game.
At GMHBA this season, Dempsey is averaging 20.2 disposals, while in his Round 10 clash with the Lions he recorded 19 disposals.
Same Game Multi
Lions +13.5 / Holmes 25+ Disposals / Dempsey 15+ Disposals / Lohmann 1+ Goals = $4.40
