Very good last start in a strong edition of the Toorak Handicap. Land of Plenty & Hartnell fought out the finish but he could have finished closer with a better run. Prior to that was hampered in the Epsom and only finished 2.6L away – that’s strong form for this race.

We can kick off the day with a winner in the first at Randwick. Three consecutive second placings for this horse might sound the alarm of a non-winner, but he has run well in each of those races and that’s no reason to jump off. Good form lines (winner 2nd to Ranier) out of that race and think he can atone here.

Was great in his return when finishing 2nd, 1.5L off the winner Esperence on Everest day. Will be much fitter off that run and expecting a much-improved performance here. Has a terrific overall record and looks a good chance to improve on that here.
