Tottenham vs. Arsenal – Saturday March 2, 11:30pm
Tottenham host Arsenal in the North London derby to open up the EPL’s matchday 29 fixture.
The Spurs are coming off a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Thursday morning (all times AEST), all but ending their chances of winning the competition.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team’s focus now shifts to finishing inside the top four to book their ticket to the Champions League.
However, the Gunners are just four points behind in fourth place and will be keen to consolidate their position with Manchester United and Chelsea right on their tale.
Arsenal are in impressive form, defeating Bournemouth 5-1 on Thursday to cap off their third-straight overall win behind the dominance of Mesut Ozil. Over that stretch, Unai Emery’s side has scored 10 goals and conceded just one.
Last time these teams met in a League Cup clash in December at Emirates Stadium, Tottenham prevailed 2-0.
Tip: Arsenal to win @ $3.40.
Bournemouth vs. Manchester City, Saturday March 2, 02:00am
Bournemouth meet Manchester City at Dean Court with every game proving critical for the latter down the stretch of the season.
The Citizens were less than convincing in their 1-0 triumph over West Ham at home on Wednesday following Sergio Agüero’s contentious penalty. It was the Argentine’s 25th goal over this campaign.
The result marked the first occasion all season where City have failed to score two or more goals at their Etihad Stadium Fortress. Alas, they trail the league-leading Liverpool by just one point.
Meanwhile, the Poppies were put to the sword by Arsenal and will look to regain some momentum at their home ground, where they have performed much more consistently.
Eddie Howe’s team has not lost a home Premier League match since a 2-0 defeat to the Wolves back in December. During this impressive home stretch, they have defeated Chelsea 4-0 and West Ham 2-0.
In their last meeting in December, City won 3-1 at Etihad Stadium.
Tip: Manchester City 2-0 @ $7.50.
Everton vs. Liverpool – Sunday March 3, 11:30pm
Everton are at home to Liverpool as the race for top spot heats up.
Marco Silva’s side pulled off a nice 3-0 win in Cardiff City on Tuesday behind two goals from Gylfi Sigurðsson to end a three-game skid.
Currently sitting in ninth place, the Toffees would like to finish the season off strong and what better way than putting a dent in Liverpool’s title hopes.
Following a mixed bag of results in recent weeks, the Reds made a statement 5-0 win over Watford on Thursday at Anfield as Sadio Mané and Virgil van Dijk led the charge.
It extended Jürgen Klopp’s side’s unbeaten home record to 35 Premier League games and puts them in the box seat to win the competition with 10 games remaining. It should be noted that Liverpool have not won away from home since ousting Brighton 1-0 in mid-January.
Last time these teams met in December, Liverpool claimed a 1-0 victory at home.
Tip: Liverpool to win @ $1.57.
