West Ham vs Manchester United – Saturday, September 29, 9.30pm
It has been a week from hell for the Red Devils.
Following on from a run that saw them win three-straight games in all competitions, United were held to a draw at home to newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Red Devils were then bundled out of the Carabao Cup by Derby, which made it two years in a row United have been knocked out of the tournament by a Championship side.
Added to the poor results, manager Jose Mourinho has had another spat with Paul Pogba and has told the World Cup winner he will never captain United again.
West Ham have turned their season around after a poor start to the season. The Hammers drew to Chelsea at home, meaning they have now accumulated four points in their last two games.
Marko Arnautovic remains in doubt for the game against United as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
These two sides drew 0-0 the last time they met and in their current form, expect another dour encounter.
Tip: Draw $3.60
Chelsea vs Liverpool – Sunday, September 30, 2:30am
Liverpool face their biggest test of the season when the travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.
The Reds have opened the season with six victories for the first time since 1990. The Reds defeated Southampton 3-0 last week, with Mohamed Salah scoring his third goal of the campaign.
Chelsea dropped points for the first time this season when they drew to West Ham. The Blues were fortunate to walk away with a point, after Andriy Yarmolenko missed an open header.
If the Blues defeated the Hammers, it would have been the first time in over 100 years two teams have won the first six games of the season in the English top tier.
The Blues will be relying on Eden Hazard to provide them with a spark up front. The Belgium captain was named in the FIFA World Team of the Year this week and has begun the season in fine form, scoring five goals in six games.
Hazard scored the winner against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Thursday morning, although with both sides playing a shadow of their best XI’s, the contest doesn’t hold that much stock heading into Saturday’s blockbuster.
The Blues have only won one of their previous seven encounters against the Reds in the league.
If the Reds win it will be the first time in their history they have won their first seven games of the season.
Tip: Liverpool win $2.60
Arsenal vs Watford – Sunday, September 30, 12am
Fourth placed Watford travel to Arsenal seeking to end their two-game winless streak. The Hornets have been the surprise packets this season and won their first four games. They then lost at home to Manchester United and drew to Fulham, despite scoring in the second minute.
Arsenal have finally found some form under new manager Unai Emery. The Gunners have won their past five matches in all competitions and have moved up to sixth in the Premier League.
Emery has found the right system to play Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the same team. The Gunners’ manager has been rewarded by his faith in the duo with the two netting a combined four goals in the league.
Another win could see the Gunners climb up to fourth. But they will have to be careful because they have lost two of their past three games against the Hornets.
