Leeds United vs. Fulham
Two newly promoted sides will face off in Leeds on Sunday, September 20 at 12:00am (all times AEST).
The Premier League returns to Elland Road for the first time in 16 years, with Leeds hosting fellow newcomers Fulham in gameweek two of the 2020/21 season. Both clubs will be eager to snatch their first points of the season in hope of surviving the top-flight, with Leeds showing plenty of promise in their 4-3 defeat to reigning champions Liverpool.
The Cottagers on the other-hand, despite collecting the same amount of points as the Whites, suffered an ugly 3-0 loss to a new-look Arsenal side. Bielsa-ball looks the goods in the EPL and will definitely cause some more headaches in this weekend’s fixture against a lackluster Fulham defence.
Our Tip: Leeds Win @ $1.60
Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace
Manchester United get their 2020/21 Premier League campaign underway against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday, September 20 at 2:30am.
The refreshed Red Devils will be eager to get their new season off to a flying start against the Eagles in matchday two. United will be hoping their season starts as good as it ended, with forward trio Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial set to cause plenty of trouble for the opposition.
Bruno Fernandes will look to back-up a stellar debut season in England, while the Portuguese midfielder will gain plenty of attention from the Palace defense.
Palace will hope to play as well as they did last weekend, knocking off top-half fancy Southampton 1-0 to start their season with perfection. The Eagles managed to claim all three points at Old Trafford last season, but we’re expecting a different result 12 months on.
Our Tip: Manchester United Win @ $1.30
Chelsea vs. Liverpool
The Reds will travel to London to face Chelsea on Monday, September 21 at 1:30am.
The Blues host the Reds, Frank Lampard against Jürgen Klopp. This fixture is set to be a fiery 90 minutes of football. This new-era Chelsea side has skyrocketed into title contention, hoping to prove themselves this weekend against the reigning champions.
Both managers have been keen to take a swing at one-another in the build up, with plenty of bragging rights up for grabs in this one. While neither side had the most promising display on matchday one, they came away with maximum points and will be hoping to do whatever it takes to do the same on Monday.
What a game it would be for Werner and Havertz to make a name for themselves in England, coming up against the strongest side in the top flight. The last time these two faced-off we were treated to an eight-goal thriller, while we may not get the same, there will be just as much drama.
Our Tip: Both Teams to Score @ $1.50
