Manchester City vs Sheffield United

The Blades will travel to The Etihad on Sunday, January 31 at 2:00am (AEDT).

Manchester City have managed to hold onto top place of the league table following their 5-0 smashing at the Hawthorns midweek, becoming the ninth club to be perched atop the league so far this season.

One club Pep Guardiola can have to thank for their current placing is their weekend rivals, Sheffield United, with the Blades collecting their second victory of the season after defeating Manchester United 2-1 on Thursday.

The victory meant City would remain at the summit whilst having a game-in-hand and are firmly placed as title favourites as we head into matchweek 21.

The Sky Blues have been in scintillating form, with their last league defeat coming in November, a scorching run that spans 11 matches (9W, 2D).

While the goal scorers are as clinical as ever, it’s the defensive duo of John Stones and Ruben Dias that are steering the proverbial ship, having conceded in just one of the 12 games they have started together.

Their hot-run has led them to accumulate a season-long goal-difference of 23, seven higher than any other side.

For the Blades, their luck is beginning to turn after registering two wins in their past three league fixtures.

Chris Wilder’s men remain 10 points deep into the relegation drop and will need to muster another gritty 90 minutes this weekend to keep their spirits alive.

The Blades were giant slayers mid-week and will look to add to that title once again.

Will City continue their purple-patch? Or will the Blades knock-off another table-topper?

Our Tip: Half-time/Full-time - Man City/Man City @ $1.44

Arsenal vs Manchester United

The Gunners will host the Red Devils on Sunday, January 31 at 4:30am.

Two clubs with plenty to prove this weekend, as the Gunners look to claw back into European contention while United aim to snatch back top spot after a disappointing mid-week loss to cellar-dwellers Sheffield United.

Arsenal have gone six games without a defeat and will be looking to make it three-wins on the trot as they welcome United to The Emirates.

Recent history is written in favour of the Londoners, who haven’t lost to Manchester United in the Premier League since 2018, an undefeated run stretching to five games, but if there’s anything this season has told us, it’s that the history papers can be forgotten about.

United currently sit in second place, 10 points ahead of the Gunners and currently have several close rivals breathing down their neck as they look to reclaim top spot.

With forward Anthony Martial failing to fire and facing the cut, the French star could look to prove his doubters wrong on the big London stage.

A loss for the Gunners and the club could fall to 11th whilst playing more games than the clubs that surround them, while defeat for the Red Devils places them even further off the hunt and as a result gives their cross-town rivals a greater sniff of success.

Will the Gunners continue to climb? Or will United regain pole position?

West Ham vs Liverpool

The Reds will travel to London to face West Ham on Monday, February 1 at 3:30am.

Hard to imagine this matchups pits fourth against fifth at this point of the season. It’s even harder to believe that West Ham are the club in fourth and are looking to further distance themselves from Liverpool.

Credit where it is due though, the Hammers have played some exceptional football the past month and a half and are every bit deserving of a top four place at matchweek 20.

The revelation that is Tomáš Souček has been a shining light for the Hammers’ season, scoring seven goals from central midfield and causing plenty of havoc across the ground.

The Czech international will need to be at his best once again if the Londoners are to hold their prized fourth position, with the Reds set to welcome back Jordan Henderson from injury.

The captain’s inclusion will be a mighty lift for the Merseysiders, who have gone winless in their past five league matches at this point of writing as they look to hold off Tottenham on Friday.

The Reds haven’t lost to the Hammers in the Premier League since 2016, a run that spans across nine matches, with Liverpool running home 2-1 winners earlier this season.

With Jurgen Klopp hoping to minimize the gap between his side and the top of the table, Liverpool are sure to come out firing against a West Ham outfit ready to hold its own.

Will the Hammers hold their place? Or will the Reds run rampant once agai
