Brighton & Hove Albion vs Liverpool
The Seagulls will host Liverpool at The Amex on Saturday, November 28 at 11:30pm (all times AEDT).
The Reds extended their Premier League Anfield winning streak to a record 64 matches after slaying table toppers Leicester last weekend, while Brighton collected a vital three points over European hopefuls Aston Villa.
Following on from Liverpool’s dazzling 3-0 victory Ove rate Foxes, the Reds fell to Atalanta in the Champions League midweek as the congested fixture begins to catch up on the reigning champions.
With another short turn-around to Matchweek 10 this weekend, all eyes will be on the fitness of Jurgen Klopp’s men as they travel south to Brighton.
The Seagulls collected their second win of the season last week in an uncharacteristically clinical perforce over the Lions to further separate themselves from the bottom three.
Unfortunately for Graham Potter, history will be against his side this week as Liverpool look to add to their nine-gaming winning run over Brighton across all competitions, dating back to 1991.
A 10th straight win over the boys in blue and white could see Liverpool gain top spot in the first division before a bust December period.
Can the Seagulls spoil the Reds’ party? Or will Klopp go top once again?
Tip: Liverpool to win @ $1.60
Chelsea vs Tottenham
The Spurs will travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday, November 30 at 3:30am.
The top-placed Tottenham are soaring in the Premier League this season off the back of four straight victories in the top flight.
The Spurs enjoyed a sparkling performance against Manchester City at home in gameweek 9, taking three points and first place on the league table.
While Jose Mourinho will be one of the happier men in London, he will be looking over his shoulder as his former club Chelsea look to snatch a win and top spot this weekend.
The Blues enjoyed a comfortable outing against Newcastle last weekend and cruised to a Champions League win against Rennes on Wednesday to increase their unbeaten run to 10 games across all competitions.
The win over the Magpies moved Chelsea into third place and just two-points off the Spurs’ total of 20 points from nine matches.
Chelsea have held the bragging rights over their London rivals on the past three occasions in the league, with Mourinho eager to snap the streak his apprentice Frank Lampard currently holds.
Both clubs sit as the greatest contenders outside of Liverpool for the championship, with this weekend’s clash potentially placed as an early title decider.
Can Tottenham keep up their impressive form away from home? Or will the Blues have the last laugh once again?
Tip: Both teams to score @ $1.61
Leicester vs Fulham
The Cottagers will travel north to the Midlands to face Leicester on Tuesday, December 1 at 4:30am.
After falling from their perch atop the first division, the Foxes will be keen to gain three points in Matchweek 10 as they welcome Fulham to King Power Stadium.
The loss to Liverpool snapped a three-game league winning streak and saw Brendan Rogers’ side fall three places over the weekend after a disappointing outing at Anfield.
This weekend should act as a springboard to regain some confidence as they host the relegation-placed Fulham.
The Cottagers have struggled in their return to the top-flight, winning just one game for the season while their ability, or lack-there-of, from the penalty spot has cost them on several occasions.
Pressure is amounting on Scott Parker’s shoulders and it will only get heavier this weekend as they face a fourth-placed Foxes brigade.
Fulham haven’t defeated Leicester in the Premier League since 2004 and will hope to break the cold-spell this weekend if they are to remain a chance of surviving in the top division.
Parker’s side showed plenty of grit in their narrow defeat to Everton and will need to lift even further this weekend if they plan to return to London with points.
Can the Cottagers amount a shock upset? Or will Leicester sumo back into the top three?
Tip: Leicester to win @ $1.50
