Arsenal vs Chelsea
It’s the final matchday of 2019, and Arsenal will host Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in a blockbuster clash.
These two sides last faced each other in the Europa League final, with Chelsea running out convincing 4-1 winners.Despite that match being in mate May, a lot has changed since then, with Maurizio Sarri and Unai Emery no longer coaching their respective sides.
Eden Hazard and Laurent Koscielny are just a couple of big name players to have left, with these two sides now looking a lot different, especially Chelsea.
Frank Lampard is leading the charge led by a young brigade of stars including Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, with the club in 4th heading into the contest.
This contest will be just Mikel Arteta’s second game in charge, following the Gunners’ draw with Bournemouth last time out.
This game is likely to produce goals, which is sure to excite neutral fans.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals – Yes @ $1.51
Liverpool vs Wolves
The top-of-the-table Reds will host Wolves for the first time this season, in what will be the final game of a brilliant year for Liverpool.
2019 saw the Reds win the continental treble, with captain Jordan Henderson lifting the Champions League trophy, the Super Cup and the Club World Cup high in the air over the past 12 months.
With the Reds still NUMBER points clear of Leicester in second with one game in hand, you’d have to say they’re looking odds-on to add the Premier League trophy to their recent collection.
Wolves on the other hand have found themselves back at the upper end of the table, after a poor start to the year.
They’ve cemented themselves in the race for fourth place, and a result at Anfield would certainly give them a bounce into 2020.
However, since Liverpool haven’t lost at home since April, 2017, it’s safe to say that streak should continue here.
Prediction: Both teams to score – Yes @ $1.87
Manchester City vs Sheffield United
City will round out their 2019 calendar with a home game against Sheffield United, who have been one of the most impressive sides this season in the Premier League.
The Blades were fifth at Christmas after just four losses from their opening 18 games and have the third best defensive record in the league.
City on the other hand enter the game still with a double-digit points deficit from Liverpool, after a disappointing first half of the season by their own lofty standards.
Pep Guardiola’s side won the final 14 matches of the Premier League season last year en route to the title, and will now need to reproduce something similar in 2020 in order to get themselves back into the title race.
Sheffield have a strong record against the top six so far this season (1W, 3D, 1L), but City is a different beast.
They should have enough quality here, and really do need to end 2019 in the best possible fashion in order to keep pressure on Liverpool.
Prediction: Manchester City to score in both halves – Yes @ $1.57
