Everton vs Burnley
Carlo Ancelotti will take charge of the Toffees for the first time, after joining Everton on a lucrative long-term contract late last week.
Ancelotti was unveiled following Everton’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal, which sees the Toffees in 15th place on the table following 18 games.
Ancelotti’s appointment is sure to excite fans, with supporters pumped to see such a big name in the managerial game on the touchline at Goodison Park each week.
Burnley will enter this clash on the back of a 1-0 away win at Bournemouth, as Jay Rodriguez’s 89th-minute winner was enough to split the two sides.
There’s some injury and suspension news for the Clarets, with Johann Berg Gudmundsson a chance to return after playing a full 90 minutes in the under 23s after an injury layoff with a hamstring issue.
He could replace Jeff Hendrick in the side, with the midfielder suspended for the contest after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Everton will be hoping for a new manager bounce, and they should get it here.
Prediction: Everton to win @ $1.66
Leicester City vs Liverpool
The top two sides in the Premier League go head to head this weekend for the second time this season, as Liverpool travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester.
The Foxes were on the wrong side of a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City on the weekend, ending their long unbeaten run.
However, it wasn’t enough to see City leapfrog Leicester, with Brendan Rodgers’ side still ahead by one point on the ladder, although they still remain 10 behind the Reds.
Liverpool spent the past week in Qatar, and were spared a Premier League fixture as they participated in the Club World Cup.
A 2-1 win over Monterrey and then a 1-0 win in extra time against Flamengo was enough to see the Reds lift the title, their third international club trophy (Champions League, Super Cup) of the season.
They were a little sloppy in those games and Leicester will be hoping to take advantage of a little possible jetlag, although with Liverpool wanting to keep their distance at the top of the table, it’s hard to bet against Jurgen Klopp’s men, who just continue to find ways to win.
Prediction: Liverpool to win @ $2.00
Wolverhampton vs Manchester City
City must travel to Wolves this weekend, and face an opponent who inflicted one of their losses earlier this season.
Despite a fair chunk of possession during the game, City were susceptible to counter attacks from the Wanderers, with Wolves hitting them on the break twice to take home a 2-0 win.
With Wolves at home this time around, they’ll be hoping to do a rare double over City.
City cut Liverpool’s lead to 11, although with the Reds still boasting a game in hand, Pep Guardiola’s side will be wanting to put as much pressure on the ladder leaders before the make-up clash.
Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling have been in fine form over recent weeks, so what out for the pair to lead City’s charge to three points.
Prediction: Manchester City to score in both halves – Yes @ $1.90
