Manchester United vs Everton
United will host Everton this weekend, after both sides recorded impressive wins last matchday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recorded arguably his best victory as Red Devils boss, after United took home the Manchester derby away to City with a 2-1 win.
The visitors only had 28% possession for the entire game, but continually caught City out on the break, registering more shots on target, while also withstanding a barrage of corners (16 in total) down the other end.
That result followed on from United defeating Tottenham 2-1 in the midweek prior, meaning the Red Devils have shot up to fifth on the table.
Following the departure of Marco Silva, Duncan Ferguson took charge of the Toffees’ 3-1 home victory over Chelsea, which saw his side jump out of the drop zone and up into 14th.
He’ll remain in charge for this clash, as Everton continues to zero in on a replacement.
United do need to face AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Friday, and they may need to play some of their stars in that clash, as they can’t afford to lose the game if they want to win the group.
They should still have enough here to hold off the Everton resurgence.
Prediction: Manchester United to win @ $1.72
Wolverhampton vs Tottenham
Wolves are now 11 games undefeated following their 2-2 draw at Brighton on the weekend, which has seen them move into sixth on the table after beginning the season in the relegation zone.
Jose Mourinho’s perfect record was blemished after a 2-1 loss to Tottenham last Thursday, before bouncing back in style with a huge 5-0 win against Burnley at home.
Dele Alli and Son Heung-min have found some form, while Harry Kane has found his touch once again.
Spurs lost to Bayern Munich 3-1 on the final matchday of the Champions League on Thursday morning, but had qualified anyway, meaning the loss wasn’t of much significance.
Wolves face Besiktas in the Europa League on Friday and have qualified, but could finish first with a win and Braga dropping points to Slovan Bratislava.
Prediction: Tottenham to win @ $2.20
Arsenal vs Manchester City
It’s another tough test for Manchester City, who travel away to face another big six side in Arsenal this weekend.
Following their 2-1 loss at home to United last time out, City now find themselves 14 points behind Liverpool, and are six back from Leicester in second.
Every game now looms as a must win for Pep Guardiola’s side from here on out.
Freddie Ljungberg led the Gunners to a 3-1 come-from-behind win over West Ham last weekend, which was their first win in nine games in all competitions.
Arsenal are currently ninth in the Premier League table, although they’re just two points from fifth, which shows just how close the middle of the table is at the moment.
Prediction: Both teams to score – Yes @ $1.47
