Matchweek 35

Newcastle United ($7.50) vs Liverpool ($1.40) – Saturday 30th April @9:30pm AEST

Liverpool have the chance to go top of the league if they beat Newcastle away at St James’s Park on Saturday night.

The Reds continued their almost-flawless April midweek, beating Villareal 2-0 at Anfield in the first league of their Champions League semi-final.

Manager Jurgen Klopp, who just signed a contract extension until 2026, will hoping to see his side to put a two-point lead over title rivals Manchester City, who play Leeds only hours later at Elland Road.

Newcastle, themselves, are in terrific form, winning their last four league games.

New manger Eddie Howe has done a wonderful job, taking the Toon from the very real threat of relegation to the top half of the division, all within less than a season.

Leeds United ($10) vs Manchester City ($1.28) – Sunday 1st May @2:30am AEST

Manchester City travel to Leeds facing the possibility of trailing Liverpool by two points, who play the earlier game on Saturday night.

City remain one point above their title rivals and will likely need to win all of their four remaining games to win the Premier League in consecutive seasons.

The Citizens are in decent form, beating Real Madrid 4-3 midweek in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Meanwhile, it is the complete opposite for Leeds, who are fighting for their lives to stay in the Premier League.

The Whites are five points above 18th-placed Everton, however the Toffees have a game in hand on the Yorkshiremen.

West Ham ($4.33) vs Arsenal ($1.72) – Monday 2nd May @1:30am AEST

West Ham take on Arsenal in an intriguing London derby on Monday morning at the London Stadium.

The Hammers, who suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Eintreicht Frankfurt on Friday morning, will be looking to bounce back quickly and deliver a blow to Arsenal’s Champions League aspirations.

The Gunners have come back from three successive defeats to beat Chelsea 4-2 away at Stamford Bridge, before putting Manchester United to the sword in an emphatic 3-1 win last weekend.

Arsenal are now in the box seat to return to Europe’s premier club competition and destiny is well and truly in their hands.

Match Result: Draw ($3.75)
