2024 NRL Round 25 Betting Predictions

There are only 3 rounds left until the finals and top 8 spots are still up for grabs. The NRL action starts on Thursday night footy with the Tigers against the Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval.

Wests Tigers (17th) vs Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles (6th)

The Tigers ended their 7-game losing streak by holding off the Rabbitohs last week 18-16. They have usually struggled at Campbelltown so it should be a nice confidence booster. But their defence will need to be at their best against the Sea Eagles.

The Sea Eagles are coming off back-to-back wins. They beat the Warriors last week 24-10 and the Raiders 46-24. After 5 wins in their last 6 games, they look destined to make the finals and I don't think they'll have trouble with the Tigers on Thursday night.

The Under is 5-0 in this matchup and hopefully, the Tigers bring their A game in defence.

Stadium Record

In their last 10 games at Leichhardt Oval, Wests hold a 4-6 record. Manly are 1-1 at this venue since 2018.

Head to Head Record

In the last 10 meetings, the Sea Eagles have won 7 games against the Tigers.

Best Bet

Under 53.5 = $1.85

New Zealand Warriors (14th) vs Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (5th)

The Warriors are out of the finals race but they'll be looking to show something in their last home game of the season. But the Bulldogs won't be an easy opponent and the Warriors lost their last home game against the Eels 30-20.

The Doggies are flying after 4 straight wins. They took down the Dolphins 30-10 last week and sit 5th on the ladder. So a top 4 spot is still up for grabs and their stingy defence should be the key against the Warriors.

The Dogs are 9-1 against the Under and I think their defence will stand up against NZ.

Stadium Record

New Zealand are 3-2 in their last 5 games at this venue. Canterbury have lost 4 straight since 2017.

Head to Head Record

The Warriors are 4-1 against the Bulldogs in the last 5.

Best Bet

Under 43.5 = $1.90

Brisbane Broncos (10th) vs Parramatta Eels (16th)

The Broncos are back from the bye and looking to keep their finals hopes alive. They thrashed the Cowboys in Round 23, 42-18. But they're still 4 pts behind 8th spot, making this a must-win game.

The Eels have lost their last 2 games and their defence has been a worry. They've conceded 38 and 36 pts in both losses. So it will need to improve in Brisbane or the Eels could be in for a long night.

The Eels are 4-0 against the Over at Suncorp and I think this will be another high-scoring affair.

Stadium Record

Brisbane are 4-6 in their last 10 games at this venue. In their last 10 games at Suncorp Stadium, Parramatta hold a 5-5 record.

Head to Head Record

In the last 10 meetings, the Eels have won 6 games against the Broncos.

Best Bet

Over 52.5 = $1.87

Canberra Raiders (12th) vs Penrith Panthers (2nd)

The Raiders have lost their last 3 games and their chances of making the finals are looking slim. Their defence has been a worry over the last 2 weeks, conceding 42 and 46 pts. So they'll need to put in a better performance, especially in their final home game of 2024.

The Panthers winning streak ended last week as they lost against the Storm in a nail-biter, 24-22. Nathan Cleary injured his shoulder in the last 10 mins and will be out this week. But the good news is that he'll likely play finals. Brad Schneider will get the start at halfback this week.

The Raiders are leaking a lot of points and the Panthers are 7-0 ATS after a loss.

Stadium Record

Canberra are 5-5 in their last 10 games at this venue. Penrith are 3-0 at this venue since 2018.

Head to Head Record

The Panthers are 7-2 against the Raiders since 2018.

Best Bet

Penrith Panthers -9.5 = $1.90

Melbourne Storm (1st) vs Dolphins (9th)

The Storm upset the Panthers in Penrith last week in a thrilling 24-22 win. It all but seals up the minor premiership for the Storm but they'll be keen to continue their winning ways against the Dolphins. They've won the first 2 meetings in the history between the two sides.

The Dolphins head to Melbourne for the first time and their form isn't great. They've lost 4 of their last 5 and only just scraped past the Warriors a few weeks ago. Their away form isn't too flash either, losing their last 3.

The Storm are 3-0 against the Under at home and I don't see the Dolphins scoring a lot of points against them.

Stadium Record

Melbourne are 8-2 in their last 10 games at this venue. The Dolphins are yet to play here.

Head to Head Record

The Storm are 2-0 against the Dolphins.

Best Bet

Under 52.5 = $1.87

South Sydney Rabbitohs (15th) vs Newcastle Knights (11th)

The Rabbitohs will be looking to end a 4-game losing streak when they host the Knights on Saturday night. But they will miss Cody Walker in their attack.

The Knights were unlucky last week as they went down to the Sharks in golden point 19-18. It's not season over just yet if they can get a win over Souths. They beat them 29-10 in the last meeting.

The Under is 6-0 at this venue and I can see a grinding contest on Saturday night.

Stadium Record

South Sydney are 4-6 in their last 10 games at this venue. Newcastle are 2-3 at this venue since 2018.

Head to Head Record

In the last 5 meetings, the Rabbitohs hold a 3-2 record against the Knights.

Best Bet

Under 48.5 = $1.87

Gold Coast Titans (13th) vs Sydney Roosters (3rd)

The Titans are out of the finals race but they'll look to get a few upsets before heading into 2025. But they have struggled in back-to-back losses. Last week, they lost 32-16 in Sydney and previously lost 44-0 at this venue against the Sharks.

The Roosters are currently on a 3-game winning streak as they head to the Gold Coast. Their attack continues to shine, scoring 34 or more points in this winning streak. So I don't see them slowing down against the Titans leaky defence.

The Over is 4-0 in this matchup and day conditions on Sunday should see it salute again.

Stadium Record

Gold Coast are 5-5 in their last 10 games at this venue. Since 2018, Sydney have a 2-0 record at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Roosters are 8-0 against the Titans since 2018.

Best Bet

Over 54.5 = $1.87

St. George Illawarra Dragons (8th) vs Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks (4th)

The Dragons are sitting in the top 8 and would love to stay there with a win over their arch-rivals. They'll be coming off a 32-16 win over the Titans and bounced back nicely after a 28-10 loss against the Dogs.

The Sharks are looking for a 4th straight win when they take on the Dragons this Sunday. They beat the Knights at home last week 19-18 and previously smashed the Titans 44-0. They have the wood over the Dragons with 8 straight wins and will be favoured to make it 9.

The Sharks are 1-8 ATS as a favourite so I think the Dragons can keep it close on their home turf.

Stadium Record

St. George are 4-3 at this venue since 2018. Cronulla are 3-2 in their last 5.

Head to Head Record

In the last 10, the Sharks are 9-1 against the Dragons.

Best Bet

St. George Illawarra Dragons +4.5 = $1.85
