BlueBet previews the NFL Week 4 action below. Read on for our best bets per game and an overview of the feature games this week.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
Date:Friday 10:25 am. Venue: Green Bay
Odds: Packers $1.27, Bears $3.96
The Packers host the Bears on Friday at Green Bay. We'll provide a betting preview of the game below.
Form Guide:
The Packers are 2-1 on the season but they just survived against the Bengals in Overtime last week. They were down 21-7 at half time but recovered for a 27-24 victory. They have been slow starters in all three games so far and they'll need to improve against the Bears.
Chicago also played into Overtime last week and they surprised the Steelers at home with an impressive win. They're 1-2 this season but they're still in good form. They'll also take huge confidence into this rivalry game after beating the Steelers.
Head to Head Record:
The Packers are 12-3 against the Bears since 2010 and they went 2-0 against them last season. In the last meeting at Lambeau Field, the Packers thrashed them 26-10. But on a short week, this should be a closer contest.
Point Spread:
The Packers are 7.5 favourites in the main point spread for this Friday game. But they did struggle against the winless Bengals and just beat the Seahawks. The Bears have covered the line against the Steelers and Falcons so they're a good bet at the +7.5 line.Best bet: Bears +7.5 ($1.82)
Total Points:
In the last two meetings at Green Bay, the total averages just 33 points. So the under total points should salute here. The Bears aren't a high scoring team and the Packers are slow starters. Therefore, the under 44.5 points is a good value bet.Best bet: Under 44.5 points ($2.08)
Tip:
Packers WIN ($1.27)
The stats say the Packers will win this by 1-2 touchdowns and we can't bet against them at home. They're 12-3 against the Bears and 2-0 at home this season.
Indianapolis Colts at Seattle Seahawks
Date: Monday 11:30 am. Venue: Seattle
Odds: Seahawks $1.10, Colts $7.60
The Seahawks host the Colts on Monday afternoon at Seattle. We'll provide a betting preview of the game below.
Form Guide:
Seattle have looked well below their best this season as they sit at 1-2. But the Seahawks are one of the toughest home teams in the NFL and we're expecting Russell Wilson to dominate the Colts defence. He tossed 4 touchdowns last week against the Titans.
The Colts earned their first win last week after beating the Browns by a field goal. They're 1-2 this season but the defence will need to improve. They've allowed 30 ppg and rank second last in the NFL. They're also missing Andrew Luck at Quarterback.
Head to Head Record:
The two sides haven't met since 2013 and the Colts won at home 34-28. They haven't played in Seattle since 2005 and the Seahawks won 28-13 in that one.
Point Spread:
The Seahawks are massive favourites in the point spread markets at 13.5. But they're 4-17 ATS since last season. At home, they have a 4-6 ATS record as well. While for the Colts, they're 5-4 on the road and 2-0 ATS in their last 2 games. The Seahawks are coming off a loss and the Colts should keep this within 2 touchdowns.Best bet: Colts +13.5 ($1.89)
Total Points:
Seattle's defence wasn't great last week but they'll be fired up for a home game. They conceded just 9 points in their last home game and they've allowed just 15 in the last 2 at home. The Colts scored 9 points in their last away game and they only average 17.7 ppg.Best bet: Under Total Points
Tip:
Seahawks WIN ($1.10)
The Seahawks are unbackable at $1.10 and they have a massive home field advantage. But hopefully the Colts will keep this close for an entertaining end to Monday's games.
Washington Redskins at Kansas City Chiefs
Date: Tuesday 11:30 am. Venue: Kansas City
Odds: Chiefs $1.35, Redskins $3.34
The Chiefs host the Redskins on at Kansas City. We'll provide a betting preview of the game below.
Form Guide:
The Chiefs have been the story of the season so far and they are only the second team with a 3-0 record. They beat the Patriots on the road in week 1 and they beat the Chargers by 14 points last week. They return home for this one and we're tipping a close game against the Redskins.
Washington's season is back on track with two impressive wins in a row. They smashed the Raiders on Monday afternoon in a 27-10 scoreline. So they'll take confidence into this clash with the Chiefs.
Head to Head Record:
The Chiefs beat the Redskins in 2013 by 35 points at Washington in a 45-10 scoreline. They have won the last three at home against them and they actually haven't lost against them since 1983. Overall, the Chiefs lead the head to head 8-1 in NFL history.
Point Spread:
Despite the Redskins poor record against the Chiefs, this should be a close game. The Redskins are coming off two wins and their defence is playing well enough to stop the Chiefs dynamic weapons. Dating back to last season the Chiefs are 3-7 ATS at home as well. So the Redskins at +7.5 is our suggested bet.Best bet: Redskins +7.5 ($1.73)
Total Points:
Overall in the 6 games these two sides have played in 2017, the under is 5-1. In an important game, both defences will be tough to break. So we would back the under 48.5 points.Best bet: Under 48.5 points ($1.96)
Tip:
Redskins WIN ($3.34)
The Chiefs are huge favourites in this one at home with a 3-0 record. But the Redskins are a good value bet at $3.34. They have a great run defence as they rank 2nd in the NFL. Which will counter the Chiefs #1 ranked rushing attack. This will be a close game, but the Redskins have a good chance of an upset.
