NFL Week 15 Betting Preview & Predictions

2023 NFL Week 15 Betting Predictions

Week 15 of the NFL season starts with an AFC West divisional rivalry matchup in Las Vegas with the Raiders hosting the Chargers .

Los Angeles Chargers (5-8) at Las Vegas Raiders (5-8)

Los Angeles had a rough one last Sunday, losing for the fourth time in five games. Adding to the woes, starting QB Justin Herbert copped a fractured index finger on his throwing hand, wrapping up his season. So backup quarterback Easton Stick will be back under centre. Last week, he completed 13-of-24 passes for 179 yards, but no touchdowns or interceptions. While Los Angeles hasn't had much luck at Allegiant Stadium lately, losing in their last two visits, they've bagged wins in the other four meetings since 2020. With Stick taking charge, the offence needs to stay on the attack in the passing game. If wide receiver Josh Palmer bounces back from a knee injury, that could be a game-changer for the Chargers too.

The Raiders are keen to bounce back after a rough offensive show and break their three-game losing streak. Last week, the Raiders didn't score a point, losing 3-0 to the Minnesota Vikings. It was a rare sight – the first 3-0 game since 2007, and only the third in the last 40 years. Adding insult to injury, they lost starting running back Josh Jacobs to a knee injury in the fourth quarter. Jacobs, who had clocked over 100 rushing yards in two of the past three games, was limited to just 34 yards on 13 carries against the Vikings. If Jacobs can't hit the field, second-year back Zamir White is likely to step up. Rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell also had a bit of a rough day, throwing for 171 yards with one interception, a step down from his average of 259.5 yards in the two previous games. Despite the offensive struggle, the Raiders' defence held up well last week.

Can't see a high-scoring affair in this one. The Chargers are without Herbert and the Under is 10-1 in their last 11 and 5-0 on the road. Las Vegas also have injury issues and the Under is 7-1 on their home turf.

Stadium Record

Las Vegas are 4-3 in their last 7. Los Angeles are 4-2.

Head to Head Record

It's tied 5-5 since 2018.

Best Bet

Under 34.5 = $1.91

Baltimore Ravens (10-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5)

Baltimore is on a hot streak with three consecutive victories, including a thrilling 37-31 overtime win against the Rams last week. Lamar Jackson played a key role, contributing three touchdown passes and a whopping 386 all-purpose yards. The Ravens boast an impressive 7-1 record in their last eight games and hold a strong 5-1 record in their last six road games. However, they haven't been as successful against Jacksonville, going 1-6 against the spread in their last seven matchups. However, Baltimore is ranked 4th in the NFL for points scored and has the 2nd-best defence for points allowed. They also lead the league in rushing yards against the 4th-best-ranked defence.

Eager to recover from two consecutive losses, the team faced a setback last week with a 31-27 defeat against the Browns in Cleveland. Despite Trevor Lawrence's commendable three touchdown passes, he also threw three interceptions. The home field hasn't been a strong suit this season, marked by a 3-4 record. Currently averaging 24 points per game, the team sits at 31st in the NFL for passing yards allowed. On a positive note, they rank 9th in the league for passing yards but will face off against the 4th best passing defence.

Hard to back against the Ravens here. They're 5-1 on the road and the Jags aren't in great form. They also have a losing record at home this season and Lamar should be tough to handle.

Stadium Record

Jacksonville are 3-4 at home this season. Baltimore are 1-3 since 2011.

Head to Head Record

In the last 10, the head to head is tied 5-5.

Best Bet

Baltimore Ravens -2.5 = $1.75

Philadelphia Eagles (10-3) at Seattle Seahawks (6-7)

Facing a tough stretch, the Eagles have experienced consecutive losses against the 49ers (42-19) and Cowboys (33-13). While they stand at 6th in the NFL for points scored, averaging 26.3 per game, the defence has struggled, conceding 34, 42 and 33 points in the last three weeks (with an average of 36.33). In previous matchups against Seattle, Philadelphia has struggled, holding a 1-6 against the spread (ATS) record in their last seven games and a winless 0-7 straight-up record in the same span.

Seattle has struggled recently, posting a 1-5 record in their last six games and enduring a four-game losing streak. The team is allowing an average of 24.5 points per game, ranking 27th in the NFL. Both the pass and run defence haven't been stellar, and injuries have added to their challenges. With Geno Smith sidelined, Drew Lock took the reins, managing two touchdown passes but also throwing two interceptions in last week's 28-16 loss against the 49ers.

The Eagles are giving up plenty of points and so are the Seahawks, which should see a high-scoring primetime affair. The Over is also 4-2 in the Eagles last 6 and 4-1 when the Seahawks are at home.

Stadium Record

Seattle are 4-2 at home this season. Philadelphia are 1-3 in their last 4.

Head to Head Record

The Seahawks have the wood over the Eagles with a 9-1 record.
