2024 NFL Week 13 Betting Predictions
It's Thanksgiving week in the NFL so we have 3 games on Friday in Week 13. Here is a preview of the 3 primetime games this week.
Miami Dolphins (5-6) at Green Bay Packers (8-3)
The Dolphins are starting to turn things around after a 2-6 start to the season. They've now 3 on the trot and have scored 34 pts in back to back wins over the Raiders and Patriots. The Packers will be a lot tougher on their home turf but it is positive signs for the Fins as they look to move up the AFC wildcard standings. QB Tua Tagovailoa has been impressive in the last 2 wins, tossing 7 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Their defence is also ranked top 10 in both passing/rushing yards allowed, so that should give them confidence against the Packers.
The Packers are 8-3 and come off smashing the 49ers at Lambeau last week. RB Josh Jacobs finished with 3 touchdowns on the ground and over 100 yards. He's led the Packers running game since moving from the Raiders and they are averaging 151 rushing yards per game. While on defence, the Packers are also solid, giving up just 20 points per game and should be fired up after allowing just 10 pts against the 49ers last week.
The weather should have an impact on this game as snow is predicted. So I like the Under in those conditions. Also, Miami are 5-1 against the Under on the road and it's also 5-0 when the Fins play at Lambeau. Green Bay holds an 8-2 Unders record against the AFC as well.
Stadium Record
Green Bay are 8-3 in their last 11 at home. Miami are 1-2 at this venue since 2002.
Head to Head Record
In the last 8 meetings, the Packers are 6-2. They won the last meeting as well, 26-20 in 2022.
Best Bet
San Francisco 49ers (5-6) at Buffalo Bills (9-2)
The 49ers are looking to bounce back in this primetime matchup. They were outclassed by the Packers last week 38-10 and previously lost a close one against the Seahawks 20-17. Injuries have been the main problem with a lot of key guys on the sidelines this year. Christian McCaffrey has only played 3 games this season and starting QB Brock Purdy is out with a shoulder injury. So their offence will likely struggle to keep up with the Bills elite scoring potential.
The Bills are on fire after 6 straight wins and their last win was arguably the best of the lot. They upset the previously undefeated Chiefs at home, 30-21. QB Josh Allen scored the game winner in the 4th quarter with an impressive 26 yard run. This year, the Bills are scoring 29 points per game, which ranks 3rd in the NFL. So they have a good matchup against the 49ers defence that is allowing around 23 points per game.
There is also snowy conditions predicted for Buffalo so I think the Under is the best way to go.
Stadium Record
Buffalo is undefeated at home this season (5-0). San Fran are 1-1 since 2008.
Head to Head Record
The head to head is tied 4-4. In 2020, the Bills beat the 49ers on the road 34-24.
Best Bet
Cleveland Browns (3-8) at Denver Broncos (7-5)
The Browns caused a massive upset last week, beating the Steelers 24-19 in the snow. It has been a disappointing season, but that should give them confidence to finish off the year with a few more upsets. The key will be RB Nick Chubb against the Broncos run defence. He comes off 2 touchdowns against a tough Steelers defence and the Broncos are ranked 6th in the NFL for rushing yards allowed.
The Broncos are looking to make it 3 straight wins and keep the momentum going at home against the Browns. They smashed the Falcons last time at home 38-6 and last week, beat the Raiders 29-19 in Las Vegas. Rookie QB Bo Nix has been impressive in a 3 game stretch where he has tossed 8 passing touchdowns with 0 interceptions. So with 2 home games in a row, this is a must-win for their chances of getting a good seed in the AFC playoffs.
Bo Nix has easily passed for over 225 passing yards in his last 2 games, so I think that line should be a safe bet against the Browns defence.
Stadium Record
Denver are 8-3 in their last 11 games at home. Cleveland are 1-8 in their last 9 games when playing on the road against Denver.
Head to Head Record
The Broncos have an excellent 8-2 record since 2003.
