2023 NFL Week 13 Betting Predictions
Week 13 of the NFL season begins in Dallas with a crucial NFC clash between the in-form Cowboys and injury-riddled Seahawks.
Seattle Seahawks (6-5) at Dallas Cowboys (8-3)
The Cowboys are flying with an impressive 8-3 record. They've been smashing it at home, winning 13 straight games by nearly 20 points each time. They've been on fire under the lights too, going 5-1 in their last six night games. Dallas has been flexing their muscles this season, leading the league with a massive point differential. They've been blowing teams out, winning seven games by 20 points or more. However, it's worth noting they haven't beaten a team currently above .500. Quarterback Dak Prescott is in good form, throwing touchdowns left and right as the Cowboys are averaging 31.5 ppg (1st in NFL). Prescott's got some solid protection from the offensive line as he hasn't been sacked in three games.
The Seahawks, sitting at 6-5, haven't been having the best run lately. Lost three out of the last four games, and their offense seems to be taking a nap. They're dealing with injuries and heading into the game against Dallas, they haven't scored a touchdown in 20 straight possessions. Keep an eye on the Seahawks' running back, Kenneth Walker III – might miss the game due to an oblique injury. Quarterback Geno Smith is battling through an arm injury but should be good for practice this week.
It's just hard to see the Seahawks injury-riddled offence keeping up with the red-hot Cowboys. They've been held under 20 pts in 3 of their last 4 games. Dallas are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 and have been crushing teams on their home turf.
Stadium Record
Dallas are undefeated at home this season with a 5-0 record. Seattle are 2-4 since 2008.
Head to Head Record
In the last 10, it's tied at 5-5.
Best Bet
Kansas City Chiefs (8-3) at Green Bay Packers (5-6)
The Packers are looking to make it three on the trot when they host the Chiefs in primetime. They are riding high after snatching a massive win against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. They pulled off a huge upset, winning 29-22 as underdogs on the road. Before that, they'd been on a bit of a rollercoaster, losing five out of six games. Keep an eye on Green Bay's quarterback Jordan Love, who's been on fire in the last two games. He's finding his groove, throwing for 590 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. But keep in mind, he's up against one of the toughest defences in the league this time that's only allowing 16.5 ppg and 176 passing yards per game.
The Chiefs are no strangers to a good comeback. Last week, they shook off an early 14-0 deficit against the Las Vegas Raiders and came out on top, winning 31-17 to cover as faves. They're hitting the road two weeks in a row, something they haven't done since facing the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings in Weeks 4 and 5. For the Chiefs, it's all about that balance between Patrick Mahomes and running back Isiah Pacheco. They kept their cool in the comeback against the Raiders, and they'll need that same game plan to take down the Packers. Pacheco should have a good matchup against a Packers defence that's allowing 135 rushing yards per game.
The trends are leaning towards the Under in this matchup. It's 6-1 in the Chiefs last 7 games and they recently held the Eagles to 17 pts. Meanwhile, the Packers are 5-1 against the Under at home and 5-2 at any venue.
Stadium Record
Green Bay are 3-2 at home this season. Kansas City are 1-1 since 2003.
Head to Head Record
The Chiefs have won 4 of the last 7 meetings.
Best Bet
Cincinnati Bengals (5-6) at Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3)
The Bengals are without starting QB Joe Burrow for the season and they're coming off 3 straight defeats. They've lost back-to-back divisional clashes against the Steelers 16-10 and Ravens 34-20. So this matchup against the Jags is huge for their chances of making the playoffs. But after rushing for just 25 yards last week, it won't get easier against the Jags. They're ranked 4th in the NFL as they've allowed just 87 yards per game. So Jake Browning will need to get the ball into Ja'Marr Chase's hands early and often.
The Jaguars are leading the AFC South with an 8-3 record and have beaten two divisional foes over the last 2 weeks. In Week 11, they thrashed the Titans 34-14 and last week, they held off the Texans 24-21. Trevor Lawrence is having a solid season thus far with 12 touchdown passes and he should enjoy facing a Bengals defence that's ranked 26th in the NFL for passing yards allowed. But the Jags should also run the ball with success against a side that's allowing 139 yards per game. So Travis Etienne Jr. should be able to find the endzone and rack up the yards.
Unfortunately, the Bengals are far too banged up at the moment and it's hard to see them winning on the road. They're also just 2-8 at this venue and will be without Burrow. Meanwhile, the Jags are playing for the AFC South title and have won 8 of their last 11 at home.
Stadium Record
Jacksonville are 3-3 on their home turf this season. Cincinnati are 2-2 since 2005.
Head to Head Record
The Bengals hold a 6-4 advantage in the last 10.
