2023 NFL Week 10 Betting Predictions

Week 10 of the NFL season begins in Chicago with a battle for draft picks as the Bears host the Panthers.

Carolina Panthers (1-7) at Chicago Bears (2-7)

The Panthers are in rebuild mode at the moment and that's reflected in their 1-7 record. They come off a tough 27-13 home loss against the Colts. Turnovers were the major problem as rookie QB Bryce Young tossed 3 interceptions. So it will be interesting to see if he can bounce back against a mediocre Bears passing defence. They rank last in the NFL for turnovers differential and 28th for passing yards allowed. But winning on the road has been an issue as they're just 2-14 in their last 16 away from Carolina.

The Bears have lost their last 2 but they will be favoured to beat the Panthers on their home turf. They've missed Justin Fields over the last few weeks as his thumb injury has kept him on the sidelines. However, he could play in this matchup if he's fit. The key for the Bears will be their running game as they're ranked 4th in the NFL for rushing yards and the Panthers defence has struggled, ranking 28th in the league.

Both sides aren't in great form but do give up plenty of points. They both rank in the bottom 5 of the NFL for points allowed so I like the Over. It's also 14-6 in the Bears last 20 games.

Stadium Record

Chicago are 1-10 in their last 11 games at home. Carolina is 1-5 in their last 6 games at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Bears have a solid 5-1 record in the last 6 meetings.

Best Bet

New York Jets (4-4) at Las Vegas Raiders (4-5)

The Jets 3-game winning streak ended last week in a brutal 27-6 loss against the Chargers in New York. Zach Wilson had a tough game, getting sacked 8 times and losing 2 fumbles. As a result, their offence didn't score a touchdown. So they will need their defence to stand up against the Raiders, which has been good this season as they've allowed just under 20 pts per game. Stopping the running game through Josh Jacobs will be one of the keys.

The Raiders thrashed the Giants 30-6 in a perfect start for new head coach Antonio Pierce. However, the win was soured by a season-ending ACL injury for QB Daniel Jones. They'll give Tommy DeVito the start but he comes off a 2 interception game against the Raiders. So the Giants will need to lean on Barkley in the running game. He has a good matchup against a Jets defence that's ranked 30th in the NFL for rushing yards allowed.

Las Vegas looked good under their new coach last week and have a lot of momentum now. Whereas the Jets offence can struggle to score points and that will likely be the difference against the resurgent Raiders.

Stadium Record

Las Vegas are 3-1 at home this season. New York are yet to play at this venue.

Head to Head Record

Since 2006, the head-to-head is locked at 5-5.

Best Bet

Las Vegas Raiders -1.5 = $2.10

Denver Broncos (3-5) at Buffalo Bills (5-4)

The Broncos enjoyed the bye last week after a stunning win over the Chiefs 24-9. Wilson tossed 3 touchdowns and they controlled possession with 40 rushing attempts. Meanwhile, their defence intercepted Mahomes twice and didn't allow a touchdown. Considering they've given up an average of 28 points per game this season, it was a complete turnaround. So they'll be looking to repeat the same gameplan in another tough matchup against the Bills on the road.

The Bills inconsistent season continued last weekend with a 24-18 loss against the Bengals. They're just 1-3 on the road this season, but they have won 4 of their 5 home games. It starts with getting their offence back on track. They scored just 10 pts in the first 3 quarters last game. However, Allen did find Diggs for a touchdown at the end of the game and Kincaid comes off 10 catches.

Based on their last performance, the Broncos defence can likely stop the Bills offence. They also have an excellent 9-0 Unders record in November games. The Bills are 4-1 against the Under in their last 5 and have struggled to score over 20 points at the moment.

Stadium Record

Buffalo are 4-1 at home this season. Denver holds a poor 1-6 ATS record in Buffalo.

Head to Head Record

Since 1997, the head to head is tied at 5-5.
