NFL Tips – Herbert vs Rodgers in Primetime!

Monday's primetime game is a crucial one for both the Steelers and Chargers in their pursuit of divisional glory. Here are my best bets and predictions for Monday morning.

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) at Los Angeles Chargers (6-3)

The Steelers snapped a 2 game losing streak with a huge 27-20 win over the Colts last week. It was all about the Steelers D as they forced 3 interceptions and 5 sacks. Aaron Rodgers finished with a decent statline, passing for 203 yards and a score. Jaylen Warren averaged just 1.9 yards per carry but managed to punch in 2 rushing TD's from the 1yd/2yd line.

The Chargers are coming off 3 wins in their last 4 games. They smacked the Vikings 37-10 in their last primetime home game and beat the Titans 27-20 last game. Justin Herbert got the Chargers offence going in that one, leading the team in rushing (57 yards on 9 carries and a TD). He also finished with 2 passing touchdowns. The Titans only scored TD's from an interception return and a punt return TD, so the Chargers D was playing at a high level.

Leg #1 - Over 42.5 pts

Most of the trends are pointing towards a high scoring affair in LA. The Chargers have an impressive 4-1 Overs record in their last 5 games and it's also good on home turf, going 8-2 in their last 10. Both sides score around 25 pts per game and allow similar points on defence per game.

Leg #2 - Jaylen Warren Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Warren broke his TD cold streak with 2 last week. Both touchdowns were inside the redzone so when the Steelers get down, Warren will be getting the ball.

Leg #3 - Justin Herbert 250+ Passing Yards

Herbert has a great matchup against the Steelers D, a team that ranks last in the NFL for passing yards allowed. They've allowed 278 pass yards per game. Herbert comes off 250 pass yards last game and has beaten the mark in 3 of his last 4 games.

Same Game Multi

Over 42.5 pts / Jaylen Warren Anytime Touchdown Scorer / Justin Herbert 250+ Passing Yards = $4.30

Value Leg - Quentin Johnston Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Herbert likes to spread the ball around with an even share of targets. But I like the price for Johnston. He caught a TD last week and finished with 4 catches from 6 targets. He also caught a TD pass in the last matchup against Pittsburgh last year, hopefully he can do it again.

Over 42.5 pts / Jaylen Warren Anytime Touchdown Scorer / Justin Herbert 250+ Passing Yards / Quentin Johnston Anytime Touchdown Scorer = $9.50
