NFL Tips & Betting Preview Week 9 | BlueBet

San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals

The 7-0 49ers cruised to a 51-13 win over the Panthers last week as their defence harrassed Kyle Allen for the entire game. Impressive rookie Nick Bosa led the way with 3 sacks and a pick. While on offence, Tevin Coleman ran in 3 scores as the 49ers continually dominated field position. So they'll be warm favourites to make it 8-0 as they face the Cardinals and rookie Kyler Murray.

Arizona's 3 game winning streak came to end in Week 8 with a 31-9 loss to the Saints. They have real issues at RB with Johnson and Edmonds both under injury clouds. So they've added Drake from the Dolphins and he'll probably get the bulk of work. However, the pressure will be on Kyler Murray in one of his toughest starts of his young career. The Cardinals defence has also struggled against both the pass and run in 2019. So they'll need a massive improvement in all areas to beat the undefeated 49ers.

We just can't see that happening. San Francisco is on another level at the moment and should comfortably win this clash. They're 9-4 ATS in Arizona and 5-2 ATS in their 7 games this season. Arizona is also just 2-5 ATS at home.

Stadium Record

Arizona has been up and down at home this season with a 1-2-1 record. The 49ers have lost 5 straight at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Cardinals swept the 49ers in last season's series and hold a 9-1 record in the last 10 games.

Best Bet

49ers -9.5 $1.85

Green Bay Packers at Los Angeles Chargers

After four wins on the trot, the 7-1 Packers look to continue the momentum into this clash agaist the Chargers. Aaron Rodgers tossed 3 touchdowns in the 31-24 victory over the Chiefs last week and Aaron Jones had a field day with 2 receiving touchdowns / 226 all purpose yards. It's been an impressive run considering top WR Davante Adams has missed the last few games and will be questionable again for this one. The Packers are 3-0 on the road this season and hold a 10-1 advantage against the Chargers.

It's been an inconsistent season for the Chargers with a number of close losses and their offence just isn't getting it done. Which saw offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt lose his job in the week. They did snap a 3 game losing streak with a 17-16 road win over Chicago but the Bears missed a field goal as time expired. Their running game has been a major problem with Melvin Gordon's early season holdout and Austin Ekeler just needs more touches. While on defence, the Chargers haven't been great against the run and will need to find a way of stopping Aaron Jones.

As mentioned, the Packers have a 10-1 head to head advantage over LA and their offence is firing at the moment. So we can't look past the Packers at the line as they're 4-1 ATS on the road and haven't lost a road game in 2019.

Stadium Record

The Chargers have been poor at home recently with a 1-4 record. Green Bay is yet to play at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The last meeting was back in 2015 with the Packers getting over the line 27-20. They have a 10-1 all time record against the Chargers.

Best Bet

Packers -3.5 $1.94

New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens

New England's undefeated run continues to Baltimore in Week 9. The Pats defence was a force once again in Week 8 as the Browns made a variety of errors in the 27-13 result. With good field position for most of the contest, the Tom Brady and Julian Edelman combination flourished as the pair connected on two scores. Bill Belichick won't be overly happy with their run defence after Nick Chubb ran for 131 yards. So a matchup against Lamar Jackson and his elite running skills will test New England's linebacking core.

Baltimore come into this crucial home game fresh from the week off and a 3 game winning streak. They knocked off the Seahawks 30-16 in Seattle previously and sit atop the AFC North with a 5-2 record. Jackson had a field day against the Seattle defence wtih 116 yards and a score on the ground. So the Ravens will look to exploit the Patriots elite D on the ground. Defensively, the Ravens are great against the run so they'll need to stop Tom Brady's aerial attack. They're 26th in the league for passing yards allowed so it'll be a tough ask.

This should be a great battle between the two highest scoring offences in the NFL. Brady and co will look to dominate the Ravens secondary. Meanwhile, the Ravens running game can have success if Lamar Jackson finds the open field. The Over does have a good record between these two sides and we like the chances of another high scoring affair. The Over has saluted in 4 of the last 5 meetings at this venue and both sides are scoring 30+ ppg in 2019.

Stadium Record

Baltimore is 2-1 at home this season and they've won 6 of their last 8 here. New England won 41-7 in their last game in Baltimore and have a 2-1 record since 2007.

Head to Head Record

The Patriots have dominated this head to head with a 11-3 record and 30-23 victory in the 2016 meeting.

Best Bet

OVER 52.5 $3.07

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants

The NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys head to New York after the bye and 37-10 thrashing of the Eagles previously. After 3 straight losses, the Cowboys made the Eagles pay for their errors as they jumped to a 27-7 half-time lead. Ezekiel Elliott dominated on the ground with 111 yards and a score. Amari Cooper also went over 100 receiving yards in a good sign after injury saw him leave the Jets game. Their defence had one of their best performances of the year in an all round confidence building victory for this side.

New York's season is pretty much over in terms of playoffs but this season is about giving young QB Daniel Jones plenty of experience. The Giants come into this rivalry matchup with 4 straight defeats. But they've been close losses over the Lions on the road and Cardinals at home. They're starting to get healthly as well, highlighted by the return of key RB Saquon Barkley. He's rushed for over 100 yards in his last 2 against the Cowboys, including 120 yards in Week 1.

Dallas already crushed the Giants 35-17 in Week 1 and we can't see much different in this clash. The Cowboys offence will be hard to stop after smashing the Eagles so we can't see the Giants getting near them. Dallas is 5-0 ATS against New York and the Giants have only covered in 1 of their last 6 home games.

Stadium Record

New York is 1-3 at home this season with their only win coming against the lowly Redskins. Dallas has won 5 of their last 7 at this venue when playing the Giants.

Head to Head Record

Dallas has owned New York lately with 5 straight wins and a 7-3 record since 2014.

Best Bet

Cowboys -6.5 $1.80
