2022 NFL Week 4 Betting Predictions

Week 4 of the NFL season starts with the Dolphins looking to go 4-0 when they face the Bengals in Cincinnati.

Miami Dolphins (3-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-2)

The Dolphins have won back-to-back close games against the Bills and Ravens, which sees them sitting atop the AFC East with a 3-0 record. QB Tua Tagovailoa has silenced the doubters with his early season form with 8 touchdown passes and Miami are scoring 27.7 points per game at the moment. Defensively, they have struggled to stop the pass so that will be a key area to improve on against Joe Burrow's Bengals with the likes of Chase/Higgins.

The Bengals earned their first win of the season last week with a comfortable 27-12 result over the Jets. After an 0-2 start, the pressure was on Joe Burrow but he responded with his best game of the season with 3 touchdown passes. He'll get a good matchup this week as well against Miami's struggling pass defence. But they'll be hoping Joe Mixon can play as he battles an ankle injury.

Miami head to Cinci with a lot of confidence after beating the Bills/Ravens. Meanwhile, the Bengals offence hasn't really fired this year and Miami are coming off allowing just 19 pts against the high-powered Bills. Take the Dolphins to cover.

Stadium Record

Cincinatti are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. Miami has won 7 of their last 10 in Cincinnati.

Head to Head Record

The Dolphins lead the head-to-head 6-4 since 2000. The last meeting was in 2020 and Miami won 19-7.

Best Bet

Miami Dolphins +5.5 = $1.78

Kansas City Chiefs (2-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1)

After a shock loss against the struggling Colts, the Chiefs will be looking to bounce back in Tampa. Their running game didn't get going against the Colts and they'll likely struggle in this area because Tampa are a strong run defence. So it will be all about the Mahomes and Kelce combination when the Chiefs look to pass. The Chiefs defence did generate 5 sacks last week so getting the same pressure on Brady in the pocket will be crucial.

It's a similar story for the Bucs as they lost to the Packers 14-12 at home in Week 3. With Evans and Godwin both missing from the lineup, Brady couldn't get his offence going. But he did find a good combination with Gage (12 catches, 87 yards). Evans will be back from suspension and that'll help the Bucs offence. Defensively, the Bucs are averaging just 9 points against per game and that will be a key factor in this matchup against Mahomes.

The Bucs have been a strong bet against the Under (4-1) and come off just 26 total points at this venue against the Packers. Their defence should be able to keep Mahomes in check, which should see a close and low-scoring contest.

Stadium Record

Tampa Bay has won 11 of their last 14 at home. Kansas City has lost 4 of their last 5 in Tampa.

Head to Head Record

The two sides met in the Super Bowl a few years ago and Brady got the job done 31-9. In the last 7 meetings, the Bucs are 6-1.

Best Bet

Under 45.5 = $1.87

Los Angeles Rams (2-1) at San Francisco 49ers (1-2)

The Rams have won back-to-back games against the Cardinals and Falcons. They'll be favoured to make it 3 straight when they head to San Francisco as they've now won 11 of their last 12 against the AFC West. Their defence shouldn't have much trouble stopping the 49ers struggling offence after they kept the Cardinals to just 12 pts last week. Kupp had a quiet game for his standards last week as Stafford shared the ball around, which is a good thing going forwards.

The 49ers scored just 10 points for the 2nd time this season as they fell to the Broncos in an 11-10 grind in Week 3. Jimmy G couldn't get much going with the offence and an embarrassing safety didn't help their cause. They'll face another tough challenge against the Rams defence. So they'll likely need to run the ball to control possession and keep the ball out of the hands of Stafford.

The Rams look strong underdogs in this matchup. The 49ers offence is struggling to score points and the Rams defence is a tough matchup. Meanwhile, Los Angeles have more scoring ability mainly between the Kupp / Stafford combination.

Stadium Record

San Francisco are 5-0 in their last 5 at home. Los Angeles has lost 10 of their last 14 on the road against SF.

Head to Head Record

The 49ers do have a good record against LA with 7 wins in the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Los Angeles Rams Win $2.10
