NFL Tips & Betting Preview Week 4 20/21 | BlueBet

Denver Broncos (0-3) at New York Jets (0-3)

This won't be the greatest Friday game of all time as the winless Broncos and Jets meet in New York. But on the positive side, one team will finally break through after starting 0-3. The Broncos definitely have better form coming into this game considering their close losses against the undefeated Steelers in Pittsburgh and a 2 point defeat to the Titans. Injuries haven't been kind either and as such, Denver will be starting their 3rd string QB, Brett Rypien. It's a fairly similar story for the 0-3 Jets. Sam Darnold is coping a lot of the blame but this Jets team has simply been built to fail. Their receiving core is an awful mess and Le'Veon Bell has been a disaster signing (already out for the season). So in a matchup of two 0-3 teams, we just can't see many points as this should be a low scoring clash and the Under looks the best bet. Both sides are struggling to score points and Denver has some real issues at QB.

Stadium Record

The Jets are 4-1 in their last 5 home games. Denver holds a 2-1 record at this venue against New York.

Head to Head Record

The Jets won the last meeting in 2018, 34-16. But the Broncos are 5-2 against them in the last 7 meetings.

Best Bet

UNDER 41.5 $1.73

New England Patriots (2-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (3-0)

A blockbuster Monday morning game will see the Superbowl Champion Chiefs taking on Bill Belichick's Patriots. Kansas City made a statement in Baltimore last week as Patrick Mahomes tossed 4 touchdowns in the 34-20 victory. But probably more impressive was their defence, which had struggled against a rookie QB the week before. They successfully shutdown Lamar Jackson, keeping him to just 97 passing yards. So they're going to be confident of stopping a similar QB in Cam Newton this week. For the Patriots, this will be an interesting challenge in KC after a 2-1 start to the season. In the Cam Newton era, they've comfortably beat the Dolphins and Raiders at home, while almost upsetting the Seahawks in Seattle (35-30 loss). Defensively, this is where the game will likely be won and lost. The Pats must pressure Mahomes or he'll simply tear them apart all game. In the end, we do like the chances of a high scoring affair as both offences are coming off 30+ point outings and this should be a free-flowing game between Mahomes and Newton.

Stadium Record

Kansas City is 5-0 in their last 5 home games. The Patriots have lost 2 of their last 7 in KC but won 37-31 in the epic playoff matchup last year.

Head to Head Record

Since 2014, these two sides have met on 6 occasions and both sides have won 3 games.

Philadelphia Eagles (0-2-1) at San Francisco 49ers (2-1)

It's been a rough start to the season for the Eagles at 0-2-1 so they'll be desperate for a win over the 49ers. So far, the Eagles have lost to Washington 27-17, easily lost against the Rams 37-19 and were pretty lucky to tie with the Bengals last week 23-23. The main problem has been takeaways as they rank last in the NFL. The offence has struggled to score points and Carson Wentz has already thrown 6 interceptions. For the 2-1 49ers, they've thrashed both New York teams in back to back weeks but injuries are really starting to mount. However, 2nd string QB Nick Mullens was impressive in his first start of the season with 343 yards and the 49ers continued their running back committee with all 3 backs hitting the endzone. So unless Philadelphia can stop turning the ball over, we'll continue to back against them.

Stadium Record

The 49ers have a strong home record with 8 wins in their last 11. Meanwhile, the Eagles have won 4 of their last 5 on the road against them.

Head to Head Record

The two teams last met in 2017 with the Eagles winning at home 33-10. In the last 8 meetings, the Eagles are 6-2.

Best Bet

49ers -6.5 $1.80

Atlanta Falcons (0-3) at Green Bay Packers (3-0)

Green Bay are back at Lambeau Field on Tuesday and they'll aim for a 4-0 start. They're coming off a massive road win over the Saints 37-30 and this offence is looking unstoppable. The Packers are the #1 scoring team in the NFL with 40.7 ppg and they're rushing attack has really benefited from Aaron Rodgers' superb form. The defence is a bit of an issue in terms of points allowed so that'll be the key against Atlanta. Speaking of defence and points allowed, the Falcons are in real trouble at 0-3. They simply can't close out 4th quarters and it's make or break on Tuesday. They rank dead last in the NFL for points allowed and have conceded huge leads in back to back weeks against Chicago/Dallas. So Aaron Rodgers could easily tear their woeful pass defence apart. Considering both sides love to throw the football and their defences are giving up plenty of points, this clash has Over written all over it.

Stadium Record

Green Bay is 5-0 at home. Atlanta holds a 3-7 record in Green Bay.

Head to Head Record

The two sides last met in 2018 and the Packers came away with a 34-20 victory. Since 2008, the head to head is split at 5-5.
