NFL Tips & Betting Preview Week 16 21/22 | BlueBet

San Francisco 49ers (8-6) at Tennessee Titans (9-5)

The 49ers are aiming for a 3rd straight win when they travel to Tennessee this Friday. They come off a comfortable 31-13 win over the Falcons at home and with an 8-6 record, they currently hold the #6 in the NFC. Overall, the 49ers are balanced team that can beat opponents in the passing or running game. George Kittle and Deebo Samuel have been in great form on offence. Meanwhile, Nick Bosa has recorded a sack in 6 straight games on defence.

This is a huge home game for the Titans are losing 3 of their last 4 games. As a result, their division title hopes in the AFC South are in jeopardy. They come off a disappointing road loss in Pittsburgh 19-13 after they led 13-3 at halftime and were held scoreless in the second half. Injuries to their offence definitely haven't helped as they're missing Henry and A.J. Brown. So this will be another challenge against the 49ers defence and whether the Titans can score enough points to compete. However, the Titans defence is ranked 2nd in the NFL for yards allowed so they should be able to quell the influence of the 49ers running game.

The 49ers should win this contest against an injury riddled Titans team. George Kittle is a favourite target of Jimmy G in the passing game and that combination shouldn't stop against the Titans. Kittle is averaging 141 recieving yards in his last 3 games and has easily cleared 75+ receiving yards in all 3.

Stadium Record

The Titans are 5-1 in their last 6 home games. San Francisco has won 4 of their last 5 road games in Tennessee.

Head to Head Record

The 49ers won the last meeting in 2017, 25-23 and they've won 4 of the last 6 meetings.

Best Bet

George Kittle 75+ Receiving yds = $2.05

Indianapolis Colts (8-6) at Arizona Cardinals (10-4)

The Colts are coming off 5 wins in their last 6 games and will be back for another Sunday matchup in Week 16. Last Sunday, they upset the Patriots on home turf 27-17 behind a strong running game, a blocked punt TD and a relentless defence. One of the key highlights was a 67 Yard touchdown by RB Jonathan Taylor as the Pats were making a comeback. They now take on a Cardinals team that will be eager to bounce back. A key matchup will be the Colts running game against the Cards run defence. Arizona have been average in this area as they rank 17th in the NFL for rushing yards allowed so look for the Colts to continue to give Taylor the ball in key situations.

Arizona's 30-12 loss against the Lions wasn't pretty and they'll need to regroup quickly at home against the Colts. With key WR DeAndre Hopkins sidelined for the season, the Cards offence struggled to get things going last week. While on defence, their secondary was poor against an injury riddled Lions passing attack. With a 10-4 record in the NFC, there's plenty of areas to improve before the playoffs begin and that starts this Sunday.

The Colts as road underdogs does look enticing as the Cardinals are struggling at the moment. However, the Under does look a stronger play. The Colts love to run the football and the Under has saluted in their last 2 games. Meanwhile, the Cardinals are coming off scoring just 12 pts against the lowly Lions and Murray is desperating missing Hopkins in the passing game.

Stadium Record

Arizona has been average at home this season with a 3-3 record. The Colts are 1-1 at this venue since 2009.

Head to Head Record

The Cardinals beat the Colts 16-13 in 2017. Since 1996, the Colts have won 3 of the 5 meetings.

Best Bet

Under 49.5 = $1.89

Washington Football Team (6-8) at Dallas Cowboys (10-4)

Washington have lost back to back divisional games against the Eagles and Cowboys. They'll also be on a short week after playing the Eagles on Wednesday and their QB situation is another concern. They were down to 3rd string QB Garrett Gilbert after Heineke/Allen were ruled out. So there's not much going right for this team at the moment and their playoffs hopes are hanging by a thread. But after a recent 7 point loss against the Cowboys, they should be fairly confident of an upset if things starting going their way.

Meanwhile, Dallas has won 3 straight games and the NFC East title is within reach. Their defence has been a standout over this 3 game stretch after conceding 36 pts against the Raiders on Thanksgiving. In Week 15, they allowed just 6 pts against the Giants and previously held this Washington team scoreless in the first half. While on offence, the Cowboys are the #1 team in the NFL for total yardage and they've scored the 2nd most points. With a strong running game and Dak Prescott behind centre, they can beat teams with either attack and that makes it hard for opposing defences.

Washington are facing a number of issues coming into this matchup. Such as their QB situation and a short week after playing on Wednesday. Dallas let Washington get to close for comfort in the 27-20 win a few weeks ago and we can't see a similar result as they meet in Dallas this time. The Cowboys have covered in 6 of their last 8 games at home and shouldn't have much trouble in Week 16.

Stadium Record

Dallas has won 6 of their last 8 home games. Washington holds a poor 1-4 record at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Cowboys won the first meeting of the season 27-20 and hold a 7-3 record in the last 10 matchups.

Best Bet

Dallas Cowboys -10.5 = $1.91
