NFL Tips & Betting Preview Week 15 21/22 | BlueBet

Kansas City Chiefs (9-4) at Los Angeles Chargers (8-5)

The Chiefs are ridding a 6 game winning streak as their defence has shown major improvement as the season has progressed. Over this 6 game stretch, they've allowed an average of just 10.9 pts and have amassed 16 turnovers. In their last 3 games alone, they've allowed 9 points against the Raiders, Broncos and Cowboys. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes and his offence scored 48 pts against the Raiders last week and Hill / Kelce were fairly quiet for their standards, which is scary for the AFC. This should be a closer game against the Chargers so look for the duo to get more involved in the passing game.

Meanwhile, the Chargers come off back to back wins over the Giants and Bengals by 13+ margins. This is a huge home game for the Chargers as they look to claim the AFC West divisional title and they should be confident of keeping pace with the Chiefs. The offence should get Keenan Allen back in the passing game as well after he missed last week's win. So that gives Justin Herbert even more weapons as he comes off a 3 touchdown day against the Giants.

This should be one of the best Friday games of the season as both sides battle for the AFC West divisional lead. So you could make a case for the Chargers as a home underdog. However, they have struggled against the run this season (31st in the NFL) and Edwards-Helaire should be able to take advantage. He rushed for 100 yards against them earlier this season on a season high 17 carries. As a result, 55+ rushing yards in this matchup looks a tad low.

Stadium Record

The Chargers have won 4 of their last 6 at home. Kansas City has won their last 5 on the road against LA.

Head to Head Record

The Chiefs have dominated this divisional rivalry with a 7-3 record since 2017. However, the Chargers won the first meeting of this season 30-24.

Best Bet

  1. Edwards-Helaire 55+ Rushing yds = $2.05

New England Patriots (9-4) at Indianapolis Colts (7-6)

The Patriots are back from the bye and extended their winning streak to 7 games in a wild but memorable win over the Bills in Week 13. With weather conditions proving difficult, the Pats opted to keep the ball on the ground as Mac Jones only passed the ball 3 times for the entire 4 quarters. But Bill Belichick showed faith in his strong defence and a running game that the Bills defence just couldn't stop. We can't see the Pats employing a similar gameplan in friendly dome conditions so Mac Jones should get more freedom in the passing game.

Meanwhile, the Colts got the job done against the lowly Texans last week in a 31-0 win and still have their sights set on the AFC South title. The Pats defence hasn't been great against the run so the Colts will look to get the ball into RB Jonathan Taylor's hands. He's rushed for over 100 yards in 4 of his last 5 games so he should be hard to stop.

The Patriots have been a great bet against the Under on the road as it's saluted in 8 of their last 10 games. This matchup should see two teams that like to run the football and we can't see a high scoring affair as a result. Both teams also rank in the top 10 for points allowed this season.

Stadium Record

Indianapolis are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games at home. The Patriots are 2-0 at this venue since 2014.

Head to Head Record

During the Tom Brady era, the Patriots won 8 of 10 meetings and beat the Colts in 2018, 38-24.

Best Bet

Under 45.5 = $1.87

New Orleans Saints (6-7) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-3)

New Orleans finally ended a 5 game losing streak as they beat the Jets 30-9 in Week 14. They ran all over the Jets defence behind Alvin Kamara and dual-threat QB Taysum Hill. However, they will find it much tougher against the Bucs 3rd ranked run defence. So Taysum Hill will likely need to find his arm to beat Tom Brady and the Bucs in the passing game. Meanwhile, their defence had success against Brady in the first meeting of the season and they'll need to get turnovers once again to pull off another upset.

Tom Brady continued to haunt the Bills with a walkoff TD against them last week in the 33-27 OT victory. The Bucs have now won 4 straight games and currently hold the #2 seed in the NFC. They'll be looking for revenge in this divisional matchup after the Saints upset them 36-27 earlier this season. Brady tossed 2 interceptions in that game so he'll be looking to improve and continue his combination with Chris Godwin in the passing game as the Saints are ranked 18th in the NFL for passing yards allowed.

The Saints have been a thorn in the Bucs side lately and as a result, there's some value in New Orleans covering the 10.5 line. However, the Over has been trending with the Bucs involved and we're sticking with it. The Over has saluted in 4 of their last 6 home games and the two sides totalled 63 points in the first meeting of the season (36-27).

Stadium Record

Tampa Bay is undefeated at home in their 6 games. The Saints have won 7 of their last 9 games at this venue.

Head to Head Record

New Orleans upset the Bucs earlier this season 36-27 and have won 7 of the last 10.

Best Bet

Over 46.5 = $1.89
