2022 NFL Week 14 Betting Predictions

Week 14 of the NFL season begins on Friday with the 5-7 Raiders looking for a 4th straight win against the struggling 3-9 Rams.

Las Vegas Raiders (5-7) at Los Angeles Rams (3-9)

The Raiders are starting to win the close games after 3 straight wins and will start as heavy favourites against the struggling Rams. Last week, the Raiders held on to beat the Chargers 27-20 and Davante Adams was a huge factor. He finished with 8 catches, 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. Josh Jacobs also continued to dominate on the ground with another 100+ rushing day. On defence, the Raiders haven't been great this season, especially against the pass. However, this matchup should give them plenty of opportunities to force turnovers and mistakes.

The Rams are suffering a Superbowl hangover and injuries to key players haven't helped during a disappointing season. QB Matt Stafford and WR Cooper Kupp are both on the sidelines and will likely miss the rest of the season. As a result, their offence has obviously struggled and they're scoring just 16.8 points per game. So their defence will need to be the difference-maker against the Raiders. They've been a good team at stopping the run, which should help against Jacobs. But stopping Davante Adams will be a challenge.

Las Vegas usually play in close games so the line is always a bit risky. Instead, the Under does look the play as the Rams offence is missing a lot of key players. The Under is 7-1 in the Rams last 8 home games against a losing road team as well. Meanwhile, the Under is 7-3 in the Raiders last 10 road games.

Stadium Record

Los Angeles are just 1-4 in their last 5 at home. Las Vegas are 0-2 at this venue since 2020.

Head to Head Record

The Rams hold a 4-2 record since 1997. They last met in 2018 and the Rams won 33-13.

Best Bet

Under 44.5 = $1.87

Miami Dolphins (8-4) at Los Angeles Chargers (6-6)

The Dolphins 5 game winning streak ended in Week 13 as they went down to the 49ers in San Fran 33-17. But the Tua Tagovailoa to Tyreek Hill combination remained strong. Hill finished with 9 catches and 146 yards with a touchdown catch. After 3 interceptions against a tough 49ers defence, the Fins will be confident they can bounce back in a better matchup. The Chargers defence is giving up 25 points per game and the Dolphins should be able to attack them in both the running/passing game.

The Chargers come off another close loss and at 6-6 on the season, this is a must-win game for their playoff hopes. They lost against the Raiders 27-20 last week and their last 5 games have been decided by under 8 points. In the passing game, they're missing the injured Mike Williams but Keenan Allen showed some good form last week with 6 catches / 88 yards. Herbert had a tough game as he was sacked 5 times so the Chargers will look to get better protection against the Dolphins. Meanwhile, the Chargers defence has been a major disappointment this season as they're allowing big numbers on the ground and air. So getting turnovers against Miami will be the key.

This should be a high-scoring affair between two teams that can score quick points so we like the Over. The Over is 7-2 in the Chargers last 9 home games and they're also 10-2 against the Over after a loss. Miami are 4-0 against the Over on the road and just gave up 33 pts to the 49ers with a backup QB.

Stadium Record

Los Angeles are 4-6 in their last 10 at home. Miami are yet to play at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Dolphins are 6-4 in the last 10 meetings and won the last matchup in 2020 by 8 pts (29-21).

Best Bet

Over 50.5 = $1.73

New England Patriots (6-6) at Arizona Cardinals (4-8)

The Patriots have lost back-to-back games and their 6-6 record is a fair assessment of the season so far. After scoring 26 pts against the Vikings, their offence once again struggled against the Bills in last week's 24-10 defeat. However, this should be a much better matchup against a Cards defence that's ranked 31st in the NFL for points allowed. So Mac Jones should be able to take advantage in the passing game through the likes of Meyers and Stevenson. While on defence, they have struggled in the last 2 weeks and the key will be stopping the influence of Hopkins in the passing game.

The Cardinals are back from the bye in Week 14 and will be playing for pride at this point with their 4-8 record. They have a terrible home record this season at 1-6 and have just struggled for consistency. A mid-season injury to QB Kyler Murray hasn't helped but he returned before the bye against the Chargers in the 25-24 defeat. The Murray to Hopkins combination will be one of the key areas for the Cardinals in this game, especially with the Pats pass defence struggling in the last few weeks. Defensively, the Cardinals have struggled defending the pass but their run defence has been solid. So if they can stop the Pats passing game, the Cardinals should give themselves a chance.

This is a must-win game for the Patriots playoff hopes and they should be able to get the job done. They have an excellent record against the Cardinals as they've covered in 4 of the last 5. Arizona are just 3-9 ATS at home and their defence is hard to trust.

Stadium Record

Arizona has lost 11 of their last 12 at home. New England are 4-1 at this venue against Arizona.

Head to Head Record

The Patriots have won 6 of the last 7 since the late 90s.

Best Bet

New England Patriots -1.5 = $1.89
