Thursday NBA Tips – OKC to End 2025 in Style

A big New Year’s Eve slate in the States, with nine games across the day. There’s a replay of the NBA Cup Final between the Knicks and Spurs, while the Trail Blazers head to OKC off the back of two straight wins.

Portland Trail Blazers @ OKC Thunder

The Thunder are deservedly short-priced favourites at home against a Portland side that has been solid of late but remains well below OKC’s level.

Despite the likelihood of a blowout, there’s still value to be found in this contest, including a Trail Blazers big man who has been active off the bench over the past month.

LEG 1 - Robert Williams Over 10.5 PR

Recent form has been highly encouraging for Robert Williams backing up Donovan Clingan in Portland’s rotation.

Health has always been the concern, but he’s been impactful in a bench role, playing mid-to-high teens minutes most nights.

Williams is averaging 7.5 points and 8.4 rebounds across his last 11 games, clearing this PR line in 10 of those 11.

LEG 2 - Shaedon Sharpe 20+ Points

It’s been a huge December for the Portland wing, with Shaedon Sharpe averaging 23.5 points per game.

Across his 13 games this month, Sharpe has scored 20+ points in 11 of them.

While the Thunder boast one of the league’s best defences, much of the attention is likely to be focused on Avdija, giving Sharpe every chance to hit again.

LEG 3 - Jalen Williams 15+ Points

A steady kicker to round out this SGM. Williams isn’t quite at his peak from last season, but he’s been reliable since returning from injury.

He’s averaging 18 points per game across his last 13 outings, clearing 15+ in 11 of those.

The Trail Blazers’ defence shouldn’t pose any issues here.

VALUE BET

Robert Williams 8+ Rebounds @ $3.45

Williams is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game across his last 12 outings, clearing 8+ in seven of those games.

He’s always been an elite per-36 rebounder, and even with a workload of around 18 minutes, this stat line is well within reach.

Williams pulled down nine rebounds in just 19 minutes against the Thunder when these teams met last month.
