A big day of NBA action with a huge 12-game slate and a number of important games as we approach the end of the regular season, including the Hawks heading to Detroit and the Rockets facing the Timberwolves.
Atlanta Hawks @ Detroit Pistons
The Pistons are without Cade Cunningham for an extended period, but it hasn’t slowed them down, winning seven of their last eight games.
They face an Atlanta team desperate to secure the six-seed in the East, having won 13 of their last 14 games as they try to avoid the play-in tournament.
LEG 1 - Nickeil Alexander-Walker Over 18.5 Points
We mentioned last week that Alexander-Walker was a genuine Most Improved Player candidate at a price, and that price has now disappeared, with NAW into $2.20 for the award off the back of incredible recent form.
Alexander-Walker is averaging 24.1 points per game across his last ten games and has covered this line in eight of those.
Jalen Johnson is questionable to return, but it shouldn’t matter. NAW is averaging 24.8 points from his last eight games with Johnson in the lineup, covering this line in seven of those.
LEG 2 - Onyeka Okongwu 6+ Rebounds
Minutes have fluctuated due to blowouts in a soft stretch of games for the Hawks, but expect closer to 30 minutes for Okongwu against Detroit.
Okongwu is averaging eight rebounds per game across his last 14 games and 10.2 rebounds per 36 minutes. Across that span he’s hit 6+ rebounds in 11 games.
He recorded just five rebounds last game but only played 20 minutes in a blowout against the Grizzlies, which explains the lower line here.
LEG 3 - Duncan Robinson 10+ Points
Robinson has played well against the Hawks this season, averaging 14.5 points across two games and hitting double figures in both.
He has also produced strong numbers without Cade Cunningham this season, averaging 15 points across ten games and scoring double figures in all ten.
Same Game Multi
Alexander-Walker Over 18.5 Points / Okongwu 6+ Rebounds / Robinson 10+ Points = $3.75
VALUE BET - Daniss Jenkins 20+ Points @ $2.70
Jenkins started the season deep on the bench, but has worked his way into the rotation and leapfrogged Marcus Sasser and Caris LeVert.
In Cade Cunningham’s absence, the young point guard has been enormous. Jenkins is coming off a 30-point performance against the Lakers, and in six games he’s played with Jalen Duren but without Cade, he’s averaging 19 points per game and has scored 20+ in three of those.
