Sunday NBA Tips – McCollum to Cook against Boston

Sunday’s nine-game slate shapes as a potential playoff preview, with Minnesota taking on San Antonio in the West and Boston heading to Atlanta to face the new-look Hawks.

Boston Celtics @ Atlanta Hawks

The Celtics have been something of a nemesis for the Hawks in recent seasons, but the tide may be turning. Trae Young has been moved on as Atlanta looks to build around rising star Jalen Johnson.

LEG 1 - Nickeil Alexander-Walker Over 6.5 Reb + Ast

Alexander-Walker has put together an outstanding first half of the season and is firmly in the conversation for Most Improved Player.

Averaging a combined 9.4 rebounds and assists across his last five games, this number could climb further if Dyson Daniels is ruled out late, with the guard currently listed as questionable.

LEG 2 - C.J. McCollum 15+ Points

McCollum has wasted no time endearing himself to Hawks fans, averaging 19 points per game across his first three appearances in red and white.

He’s done this while shooting just 16% from three-point range — a major outlier for a proven sharpshooter. If the perimeter shot normalises, clearing 15 points looks very achievable.

LEG 3 - Luka Garza 4+ Rebounds

Garza is steadily closing the gap on Neemias Queta’s minutes and is now regularly seeing 20+ minutes on the floor.

If that trend continues here, he should have no trouble collecting four or more rebounds.

VALUE BET

Onyeka Okongwu 10+ Rebounds @ $2.12

Averaging 9.4 rebounds per game across his last ten outings, Okongwu gets a strong matchup here against Boston.

With Kristaps Porzingis again unavailable and Joe Mazzulla beginning to split minutes between Queta and Garza, Okongwu should be on the floor for heavy minutes. A double-double at $2.25 is also firmly in play.
