Saturday NBA Tips – Hawks to Stay Hot in Houston

Six games feature on Saturday’s slate, including the in-form Atlanta Hawks who look to extend their 11-game winning streak when they travel to Houston.

Atlanta Hawks @ Houston Rockets

The Hawks have been the real deal since the trade deadline and now face a genuine test against the Rockets on the road.

Atlanta has won 11 straight to surge into the playoff picture, although the quality of opposition during that run has been questionable.

That said, Houston’s recent dip has been notable, coming off back-to-back home losses to the Lakers. It doesn’t get any easier here against the hottest team in the league.

LEG 1 - Dyson Daniels 6+ Rebounds

Daniels is averaging 6.7 rebounds per game this season, but his numbers have lifted since CJ McCollum joined the Hawks, with Daniels shifting into more of a small forward role.

In lineups featuring McCollum, Okongwu and Jalen Johnson, Daniels is averaging 7.3 rebounds across a 21-game sample, hitting 6+ in 18 of those, including his last 11.

LEG 2 - CJ McCollum 15+ Points

There were some early teething issues following McCollum’s arrival, but the move has quickly paid off.

Since February 12, the Hawks are 12-1 with the best net rating in the NBA, with McCollum playing a key role.

Across his last 15 games, he’s averaging 19.4 points and has cleared 15+ in 11 of those.

LEG 3 - Nickeil Alexander-Walker 15+ Points

Alexander-Walker is a genuine Most Improved Player contender at a strong price, and his recent form backs it up.

Since January 26, he’s averaging 20.5 points per game and has hit 15+ in 18 of 21 games.

He’s taken it to another level recently, averaging 25.3 points across his last seven.

VALUE BET - Jalen Johnson Triple Double @ $4.25

Since January 31, Jalen Johnson ranks second in the NBA for triple-doubles, behind only Nikola Jokic.

He’s recorded six triple-doubles in his last 17 games, a 35% strike rate, making $4.25 appealing in this matchup.

Across his last four games, Johnson has two triple-doubles and is averaging 11.3 rebounds and 10.8 assists. He remains a genuine triple-double threat.
