Saturday NBA Tips – Big Joel anchors our SGM in Celtics v 76ers

Eight big games of NBA Basketball on Saturday including the Celtics 76ers rivalry, as well as the undefeated Bulls heading to Madison Square Garden to face the Knicks.

Boston Celtics @ Philadelphia 76ers

Even with Philadelphia missing Paul George and playing Joel Embiid just 20 minutes a game, the 76ers are undefeated at 4-0 off the back of the Maxey / Edgecombe combo. As for the Celtics, they’ve played well without much luck to start the season at 2-3, but they’ve got a huge chance to square the win-loss ledger this season on the road in Philly.

LEG 1 - Josh Minott 6+ Rebounds

Didn’t let us down last start when we took him for 8+ points in our winning Cavs vs Celtics SGM, and we’ll now take the rebounds for Josh Minott.

The former Timberwolf has been a presence on the glass since entering the starting lineup for Boston, averaging 12 rebounds a game from his two starts including 15 rebounds against Cleveland. Appears a short line here.

LEG 2 - Kelly Oubre Over 12.5 Points

A low line for Kelly Oubre Jr which is likely due to Philadelphia’s season opener against Boston where the wing only managed 10 points from six shot attempts.

But the last three games we’ve seen some solid games by Oubre, averaging 20.3 points during this recent stretch easily covering 12.5 points in all three games.

Playing big minutes for the 76ers while Paul George is out, and this won’t change when they host the Celtics.

LEG 3 - Joel Embiid 15+ Points

The big man is only playing 20 minutes per game, although this jumped up to 23 minutes last start against the Wizards, but surely Joel Embiid continues to hit 15+ points in limited minutes.

It was an absolute horror start to the season against the Celtics where he managed just 4 points on 1/9 shooting, but in the next two games Embiid has played he’s managed 20 and 25 points.

Volume is building - the former MVP finds 15.

SAME GAME MULTI

Minott 6+ Rebounds / Oubre Over 12.5 Points / Embiid 15+ Points = $3.70

VALUE LEG - Neemias Queta 10+ Points

The danger with this value leg is the Boston Centre getting in foul trouble guarding Embiid, but if he can stay on the floor for 20 minutes we’ll see Neemias Queta score double figures.

Queta scored 17 against the 76ers in the season opener, and there’s a trend of bigs just destroying the immobile Embiid who is barely getting up and down at the moment.

Kalkbrenner had 14 points, while Alex Sarr dropped 31 on Embiid last start. If Queta can stay on the floor for 20 minutes, he hits double figures at a nice price.

Minott 6+ Rebounds / Oubre Over 12.5 Points / Embiid 15+ Points / Queta 10+ Points = $8.00
