NBA Tips & Betting Preview | Tuesday 27 April

San Antonio Spurs (30-29) at Washington Wizards (27-33)

The Spurs head to Washington with confidence after winning 4 of their last 5 games and they're starting to push their claims for a West playoff spot. They'll get another good matchup against the Wizards defence, especially versus guards. So look for DeRozan, White and Murray to put up solid numbers.

Meanwhile, Westbrook and Beal have led the Wizards to an 8 game winning streak and playoffs are now within reach for this team. They've also won 5 straight home games and come off a 119-110 victory over the Cavs on Monday. The Spurs defence has struggled against guards lately so this is a perfect matchup for the Westbrook/Beal combination.

The head to head odds are tight at this stage, which should see a close game between two in-form teams. However, the Spurs have the wood over the Wizards, including a 20 point win over them this season.

Stadium Record

The Wizards are a perfect 5-0 in their last 5 home games. The Spurs are 9-4 at this venue.

Head to Head Record

San Antonio owns the head to head with an 8-2 record and beat the Wizards 121-101 in the earlier season meeting.

Best Bet

Spurs -1.5 $1.94

Phoenix Suns (42-18) at New York Knicks (34-27)

The Suns are looking a bit fatigued after a tough 4 game road-trip and it won't get easier against the red-hot Knicks in New York. Phoenix is coming off back to back defeats against the Celtics & Nets. In both games, their defence has struggled so that will be a focus of this team on Tuesday, especially against Randle.

New York will be eager to win a 10th straight game in what has been a great run. They should have a good chance for number 10 as the Suns have struggled in their last 2 games. Julius Randle has been the major factor in the Knicks winning streak and he's coming off 30+ pts in 6 of his last 7 games.

The total for this game at the moment (215.5 pts) looks a tad low considering the trends. At this venue, the Knicks are 4-1 against the Over and Julius Randle should be a tough matchup for the Suns. Phoenix are 11-4 against the Over in their last 15 games as well.

Stadium Record

New York has won all of their last 5 home games. The Suns are 4-2 at this venue, which includes 2 big wins in the last 2 alone.

Head to Head Record

Since 2016, the Suns are 6-4 against New York and have won the last 4 meetings as well.

Best Bet

Over 215.5 pts $1.91

Dallas Mavericks (33-26) at Sacramento Kings (24-36)

The Mavericks have won their last 3 games, which includes a 62-35 second half comeback victory over the Lakers on Sunday. However, Luka Doncic picked up an elbow injury and will be a game-time decision for this clash. They should get Porzingis back from injury though after he missed the Lakers game.

With starting point guard De'Aaron Fox on the sidelines, Kings fans will be getting a good look at rookie Tyrese Haliburton as the season end nears. Haliburton stepped up against the Warriors on Monday with 24 pts and 8 assists. If Doncic is out, he should enjoy more freedom to lead the Kings offence this Tuesday as well.

The status of Doncic is something to monitor and we'd suggest the Mavericks won't risk him with an upcoming back to back. So the Kings do offer good value as a home underdog, especially after they beat the Mavericks just last week by 14 points.

Stadium Record

The Kings have been poor at home with a 1-5 record. Dallas holds a 4-1 record at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Kings beat the Mavericks 121-107 in Dallas last week and have won 6 of the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Kings +6 $1.85
