Philadelphia 76ers (36-17) at Dallas Mavericks (29-23)
The East leading 76ers continue their road-trip to Dallas on Tuesday after thrashing the Thunder 117-93. However, Dallas will prove a much tougher challenge on their home court. Philadelphia has lost 13 of 14 in Dallas so they'll be keen to avenge their poor record. However, Dallas have a good defence against centres especially so Joel Embiid will likely struggle to have an impact.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks won't be happy with their close loss against the Spurs on Monday 119-117 and should be raring to go against the 76ers. The key as usual will be Luka Doncic and Porzingis. Doncic just fell short of 30 points on Monday and Porzingis is finding his form and fitness since a knee injury interruption.
Considering the Mavericks home record against the 76ers (13-1), they look the best value in this matchup. They have a good defence against centres and that should be the key against Joel Embiid and stopping the 76ers offence.
Stadium Record
Dallas has won 11 of their last 15 home games. The 76ers have a horrible 1-13 record in Dallas.
Head to Head Record
The 76ers won the earlier season meeting at home, 111-97. But since 2016, the head to head is split at 5-5.
Best Bet
Chicago Bulls (22-30) at Memphis Grizzlies (26-25)
Despite the shooting form of Zach LaVine, the Bulls have lost their last 2 and their chances of reaching the playoffs are quickly slipping away. But after scoring 30 and 50 pts in back to back games, LaVine will have another favourable matchup against the Grizzlies defence. Vucevic has also been a good addition on offence and he's scored 20+ pts in 4 of his last 5 games.
The Grizzlies defence has struggled in back to back defeats after conceding 132 pts against the Pacers and 133 against the Knicks. So we're expecting another high scoring affair against the likes of LaVine and Vucevic. On the Grizzlies, offence Valanciunas scored 34 pts on Monday and he'll have another good matchup against the Bulls.
With two poor defences in play, the Over is a great bet. As such, the Over has saluted in 4 of the Grizzlies last 5 games and is also 4-2 when the Bulls hit the road.
Stadium Record
The Bulls have a nice 6-1 record at this venue. Memphis have a losing record on their home court (12-15)
Head to Head Record
This is the first meeting since 2019 and the Bulls have won 8 of the last 10 meetings.
Best Bet
Denver Nuggets (34-19) at Golden State Warriors (25-28)
Denver's 8 game winning streak came to crashing halt on Monday as the Celtics dominated them in the 4th quarter in the 105-87 win. The Nuggets managed just 8 pts in the 4th quarter so they'll be looking to get back on track in the first half against the Warriors. The key should be Jokic on offence as the Warriors have been crushed by centres all season. Porter Jr. also has a good matchup against the undersized Warriors.
The Warriors are coming off a comfortable 125-109 win over the Rockets but a season ending knee injury to James Wiseman isn't good news. They're also missing Kelly Oubre Jr. So the trio of Curry, Green and Wiggins will be the key against the Nuggets. In particular, Wiggins who's coming off 25 pts and has a good matchup.
Denver have been strong on the road this season with a 16-9 record and they beat the Clippers in their last road game. The Warriors have a few injuries and their defence will be tested against the likes of Jokic, Porter Jr. and Gordon. They've covered in 7 of their last 9 road games so we'll back them to win this comfortably.
Stadium Record
The Warriors have been good at home this season with a 16-10 record. Denver has lost 8 of their last 10 at this venue.
Head to Head Record
The Nuggets won the earlier season meeting 114-104. But since 2017, the head to head is split at 5-5.
