Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks
The Suns will look to bounce back after a rare blowout loss in this year's playoffs as they went down to the Bucks 120-100. As a team, they struggled in most areas as you would expect in a 20 point loss. Highlighted by 14 turnovers, 24 fouls and they struggled from 3 point range (29%). Devin Booker went just 4 of 21 as he finished with just 10 points. He's been in form shooting wise at home in this series so he'll look to get back on track in Game 4. In positive news, Jae Crowder did everything he could in Game 3 as he finished with 18 points and only missed 2 of his 14 shots and he nailed 6 threes. On the defensive side, they can't seem to contain Giannis Antetokounmpo, which is understandable. However, the Suns will need to find a way or this series is going 7 games.
Milwaukee are back in this series after a 20 point victory in Game 3 and will be favoured to even the series on their home court this Thursday. Giannis is simply on fire at the moment and the Suns defence just doesn't have an answer. In back to back games, he's scored an average of 41.5 points and has collected 12.5 rebounds. With home-court advantage, Giannis and the Bucks will be a tough proposition once again in Game 4. The other positive in the Game 3 win was the return to form for Jrue Holiday. He struggled in Phoenix but finished with 21 points on his home court. He hit 5 threes from 10 attempts as well so he'll look to continue the momentum on Thursday. Another bright spot was Bobby Portis as he collected 8 rebounds and 11 points in just 18 minutes of action. With Giannis back in the lineup and playing heavy minutes, Portis won't get a lot of action but as he showed in Game 3, he's capable of making an impact in short minutes.
Home court advantage has been a massive factor in this season's playoffs and we don't see that changing in Game 4. Overall, the Bucks have only lost once in this year's playoffs on their home court in 9 playoff games. So while the Suns do have a good road record recently at 6-2, they have lost 5 of their last 7 games at this venue. So with Giannis simply playing at a high level and on a mission to break the Bucks 40 year championship drought, we'll back him to get the job done for the Bucks here.
