NBA Tips & Betting Preview | Thursday 15 April

Brooklyn Nets (37-17) at Philadelphia 76ers (37-17)

The Durant show continued on Wednesday morning as the Nets crushed the Timberwolves 127-97. Durant top scored with 31 pts and took control of the offence without Harden/Irving. James Harden has already been ruled out for this one with a hamstring but Irving is questionable due to personal matters. So once again, Durant will be tasked with beating the 76ers here.

The 76ers have won their last 2 road games and will be keen to get back on their home court after losing 116-100 against the Grizzlies in their last home game. Defensively, the 76ers have been excellent lately after allowing under 100 pts in their 3 of their last 4 home games. So their defence will be looking to lock down on Durant.

With the Nets missing Harden and potentially Irving, the 76ers will be looking to make a statement against an undermanned Nets team. Philadelphia also have a great record at home and thrashed the Nets at this venue this season 124-108.

Stadium Record

The 76ers have been tough at home as they've won 20 of their last 25 home games. Brooklyn has lost all of their last 5 games in Philadelphia.

Head to Head Record

The 76ers won the last meeting at this venue 124-108 and have won 8 of their last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

76ers -5.5 $1.80

Dallas Mavericks (29-24) at Memphis Grizzlies (26-23)

The Mavericks have lost back to back games, including a disappointing 113-95 loss to the 76ers last time out. However, Doncic comes off 32 points and Porzingis should return to the court after resting against the 76ers.

Memphis turned around their poor defensive efforts with an improved showing against the Bulls, winning 101-90. Valanciunas continued his excellent form at the moment with 26 points and Ja Morant got his team-mates involved with 10 assists. After Dallas struggled with Embiid, Valanciunas should be the key again for the Grizzlies offence.

Valanciunas has cleared 20+ points in his last 2 games and we're expecting him to continue his form against a Dallas defence that allowed 36 pts to another centre last time out.

Stadium Record

The Grizzlies have won 4 of their last 6 home games. Dallas also holds a 4-2 record at this venue.

Head to Head Record

Dallas won the earlier season meeting 102-92 and have won 6 of the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Valanciunas 20+ Pts $2.05

Miami Heat (28-26) at Denver Nuggets (34-20)

Miami were simply outclassed by the Suns on Wednesday in the 106-86 defeat so they'll be eager to respond against the Nuggets in Denver. However, a road game against Denver on a back to back won't be easy. They've also lost 14 of their last 19 games at this venue and will be missing Oladipo with an ongoing knee issue.

Not only did the Nuggets get crushed by Steph Curry and the Warriors on Tuesday but they also lost Jamal Murray to an ACL for the season. It's a crushing blow for this season but they'll look to Monte Morris and Campazzo to pick up the slack at the point. The Heat also struggled with Ayton last game so look for Jokic to put up plenty of points/rebounds on their defence.

We'll be looking for the Under trend to continue between the two teams. In the last 5 meetings at this venue, the Under is 4-1 and the Heat also have a 10-1 Unders record on the road.

Stadium Record

Denver is 6-1 in their last 7 home games. Miami has a poor 5-14 record in Denver.

Head to Head Record

The Nuggets smashed the Heat 109-82 in Miami this season and hold a 6-4 record in the last 10.

Best Bet

Under 213.5 pts $1.87
