NBA Tips & Betting Preview | Saturday 15 May

Cleveland Cavaliers at Washington Wizards

The Cavaliers have been in full tank mode for a while but snapping an 11 game losing streak against the Celtics on Thursday would've felt good. Kevin Love dominated the undermanned Celtics with a season-high 30 points and 14 rebounds. So they'll be looking for more of the same against a desperate Wizards team.

After back to back defeats in Atlanta, the Wizards need to win one of their last 2 games to secure a playoff spot. With the Bulls 2 games behind them and the Wizards facing a decent Hornets team after this matchup, the Wizards really need to produce a win against the Cavs. There's still no Bradley Beal for the home team but Westbrook has been on fire lately. He has another favourable matchup against the Cavs leaky defence and should be the key man in this game.

The Wizards have been tough to beat at home recently and with the added motivation of reaching the playoffs, Westbrook and co should be too strong for a Cavaliers team that is looking towards next season.

Stadium Record

The Wizards have won 7 of their last 8 at home. Cleveland holds a 2-3 record in their last 5 here.

Head to Head Record

In the 2 meetings this season, the Wizards have won 122-93 and 119-110 at this venue.

Best Bet

Wizards -7.0 $1.92

Sacramento Kings at Memphis Grizzlies

The Kings have been officially eliminated from the playoffs so they'll be playing for pride on Saturday. They have plenty of injuries at the moment, which includes: Fox, Barnes, Haliburton and Bagley. So the positive at the moment is they're getting a good look at their fringe players at the moment.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have won their last 4 games and can still finish 8th in the West if the Warriors slip up. In their 116-110 win over this Kings team on Friday, Brooks led the scoring with 30 pts and Valanciunas collected 13 rebounds along with 24 pts. So expect the Grizzlies to take advantage of the undermanned Kings again.

With nothing left to play for and an injury crisis, the Kings won't really care about this game. So can't see the Grizzlies dropping an important home game as they look for the 8th spot in the West.

Stadium Record

Memphis has won 4 of their last 5 home games. The Kings have an awful 4-17 record at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Grizzlies have won both meetings this season, including a 116-110 result on Friday.

Best Bet

Grizzlies -8.5 $1.92

New Orleans Pelicans at Golden State Warriors

A disappointing season is nearing the end for the Pelicans and they'll be undermanned for this clash against Golden State. At this stage, the outs include: Williamson, Ball and Hart. Meanwhile, Ingram and Adams are questionable.

Golden State are hitting form at the right end of the season with 4 straight wins. This includes massive upsets over the Suns (122-116) and Jazz (119-116) on their home court. The only concern for the Warriors is their questionable starters. Steph Curry continues to battle a tailbone complaint and Draymond Green has popped up on the injury report as well. The squad is already without Oubre Jr, Wiseman, Klay Thompson and Lee as well.

Despite the Warriors injury report, Golden State have been excellent on this home stand and we expect that to continue against a injury-riddled Pelicans team. Not to mention, the Warriors still need to lock up 8th spot in the West.

Stadium Record

The Warriors are 8-1 in their last 9 home games. New Orleans has a terrible 2-18 record at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Warriors won the first meeting of the season 123-108 and the Pelicans countered the next day with a 108-103 result. Since 2018, the Warriors are 7-3 in this matchup.
