Both OKC and Atlanta will play their third game of the season when the Thunder head to State Farm Arena. It’s been a bumpy 2-0 start for the defending Champions, requiring double OT in both games so far - as for Atlanta, who knows which Hawks team we’ll see.
OKC Thunder @ Atlanta Hawks
The Thunder have played a lot of basketball to start the season! They played 12 quarters across the first three days, and will now play their third game in five days to start the season.
As for the Hawks, they will host the Thunder off no rest after recording their first win of the season with an upset win over the Magic. Will we see the good Hawks everyone expected at the start of this season, or the bad Hawks that we saw when they hosted the Raptors in their season opener?
Leg 1: Lu Dort Under 11.5 pts
Played a ton of minutes to start the season and has shot the ball really poorly. Lu Dort is averaging 6.5 points per game from his two starts this season, shooting the ball at 22% from the field.
Due to two double-OT games for the Thunder to start the season, Dort is going at just 5.3 points per 36 minutes - and if the Thunder can manage to play a standard four-quarter game against the Hawks we’ll probably see Dort play a tad under 30 minutes.
Leg 2: Jalen Johnson 4+ Assists
Poor game by his standards against the Magic derailed by foul trouble, which has his assists line still at 3.5.
Johnson had eight assists in Atlanta’s season opener against the Raptors, and averaged five assists per game last season. Expect a bounce back from the Power Forward.
Leg 3: Ajay Mitchell 10+ Pts
Showed glimpses last season prior to getting injured, but Ajay Mitchell looks like instant offense off the bench for the Thunder this season.
16 points in the season opener in just 14 minutes, followed by 26 points in the double OT win over the Pacers last start. Think we’ll see greater opportunity off the bench for the Sophomore off the back of his early season form.

Value Leg: Nickeil Alexander-Walker 2+ Threes
Looks like he’s playing a major role for the Hawks off the bench this season after being acquired from the Timberwolves in the off-season, and although he’s shot the ball horribly to start the season, Alexander-Walker is still getting them up.
NAW is playing around 30 minutes off the bench for Atlanta, and has gone 2/15 from deep in his first two games with his new team. The percentages aren’t great, but love the volume! He’s not normally this poor of a shooter so I’ll back him in to make a couple against his cousin and Team Canada teammate.
