Miami Heat at Brooklyn Nets (ESPN)
The Nets (41-40) host Miami (38-42) at the Barclays Centre.
Brooklyn recently booked their ticket to the post-season, while Detroit’s win over Memphis officially ended Miami’s playoff chances. The Nets have won their last two games, both coming on the road against Eastern heavyweights Milwaukee and Indiana. They have been sturdy at home this season (22-18) and will benefit from the extra rest.
Look for Dwyane Wade to come out and have a monster game in what could could possible be the last time we see the future Hall-of-Famer. Miami trailed off badly recently, dropping four in a row prior to their win over the Sixers.
Last timese side’s met in Miami in March, the Heat got up 117-88.
Tip: Brooklyn to win @ $1.61
OKC Thunder at Milwaukee Bucks
The Thunder (47-33) are in Milwaukee with (60-21) the former still looking to avoid the dreaded eighth seed out West.
Finishing eighth would result in a first-round matchup with the Warriors, which would almost gurantee an early exit. OKC have been poor in the back half of the season but have rattled off three-straight wins. They will come out in full force in this one.
Meanwhile, the Bucks have locked up the one seed and could rest several of their big guns. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Eric Bledsoe could all pick up DNPs, which could give OKC a big chance. However, the Bucks’ league-best home record (33-7) should not be disrespected.
Last time these side’s met in OKC in January, the Thunder won 118-112.
Tip: Milwaukee to win.
Utah Jazz at LA Clippers (ESPN)
The Jazz (49-31) visit LA (47-34) in the second half of EPSN’s back-to-back.
Tha Jazz have clinched the fifth seed and are now just awaiting their matchup, and could rest their stars to prepare for the playoffs coming off a back-to-back. Utah have been in fine form, winning eight of their last 10.
The Clippers, like OKC, are still fighting to avoid the eighth seed where they are currently situated. The Clips have the extra rest on their side, but have lost their last three.
Danilo Gallinari and Pat Beverley go in with GTD tags and are integral factors in helping the Clippers take down the Jazz. Again, which players actually see the floor could go in a long way in determining the result, so be sure to stay up to date with all the latest team news.
Last time these sides met in Utah in February, the Clippers took it 11-105.
Tip: LA to win.
