- PERFECT WORLD ($4.20)
Has been knocking on the door for her first win, coming agonisingly close two starts back at Bendigo, where she stormed from the back to go down narrowly. Was good again last start, finishing just a length behind Divine Diosa. Should be able to cross from the wide gate and will be rock hard fit fourth up. Should be in the finish.
- UPSWING ($3.30)
Brings strong formlines into this, notably his run three starts back, where he was able to defeat High Emocean by a convincing 1.75L. He was given a short spell after that and returned at The Valley in a higher grade, putting in another strong performance behind Master Shuhood, before going down by just over a length last start at Sandown. Faces a field that are mostly jumping up in class, so he looks the most likely for me here.
- LUNAKORN ($3.10)
The talented Lunakorn seems to have a big class edge here for mine, having won three times last prep, including twice at BM70. The rest of the field is moving up in class, or have not handled higher grades. Lunakorn might be first up, but she was able to defeat Hasseltoff first up last prep, so I’m confident she can get it done today.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- DO YOU RECKON ($13)
Looks like an interesting runner here for mine. Having won last start at BM64 grade by a dominant 4.25L at Cranbourne, he looks more than capable of making the step to BM70 today. He also finished just two lengths from Alsvin two starts prior, showing that last start was no fluke. Gets in with just 56kg after an apprentice claim and maps to lead. Looks capable at odds.
