BLUEY’S BEST
- NO WAY EVER ($6.00)
No Way Ever made her debut last start at Pakenham on the synthetic track and looked to have some talent. She jumped well and settled close before taking over before the turn, proving too strong in the straight to score by a length. She finds a harder race here but should find herself near the lead and should improve off that first-up run. Should run well again.
- SUGARTOWN ($2.60)
Sugartown looks an interesting runner here for mine; she finished close up in her two Caulfield runs to begin the prep, but lacked the killer instinct to get across the line. She resumes here in what should be an easier grade and the blinkers go on for the first time. Could this be the catalyst for her to score a win? I think so.
- THE GARDEN ($3.00)
This looks to be an intriguing race, with the talented Cambourne, who is resuming off a 193-day spell, up against the up & coming The Garden. I’m siding with The Garden, who has been super impressive this prep, winning three out of his four starts. This will be his hardest test to date, but I’m tipping Cambourne won’t be quite as his best, with bigger races in mind later this prep. The Garden shouldn’t be too far away here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- NEW TYCOON ($13)
New Tycoon looks over the odds here, after what has a solid, yet lacklustre campaign. He’s finished in the placings three times from five runs (including a failure due to firm ground), but a win has eluded him thus far. He’s been running in a similar grade to this generally, so this doesn’t look too far out of reach. He looks to get the run of the race behind the leaders, so I’m confident he can run well again here at nice odds.
