- GOLDEN GORGE ($4.20)
Golden Gorge was brilliant when resuming at Sandown, booting clear around the turn and holding on for a narrow victory. He was coming off a freshen there and should take improvement from that run. No issue with the Soft track and maps positively again today.
CANTERBURY RACE 5 – 15:10 AEST
- BEACH BABY ($3.20)
Looks primed third up here for victory after two narrow defeats to kick off his prep. He was narrowly defeated two back at Warwick Farm by Epic Dan, before heading to Canterbury and enduring a tough run to go down by 0.2L. Should be rock hard fit now and is ready to win.
WARRNAMBOOL RACE 7 – 15:20 AEST
- ORDER OF COMMAND ($2.60)
Super win first up when returning at Caulfield to win by 2 lengths over Vassilator with 60kg. Generally improves with racing, and this time last year was second up when winning impressively over the talented jungle Edge (who won again on the weekend). Should be improved here and will take some beating.

- INVERLOCH ($7.50)
Favourite Too Close The Sun looks hard to beat here, but there might be some value around him at the price. Inverloch looks well placed in this field coming off a narrow 0.2L victory over Midterm in the Group 3 Easter Cup at Caulfield. Handles the wet and has carried weight before. Looks a value bet over the 2350m here for mine.
