Horse Racing Bets – Wednesday 4 September 2019 – Bluey’s Tips

BLUEY’S BEST BETS – 04/09/2019

SANDOWN – RACE 2 2400m 13:35 AEST

SPANISH POINT ($4.20)

Spanish Point should be able to control this staying affair from the front despite the wide barrier. First up run in Australia was very solid over 1800m at a similar level to this. That run was off a 396-day spell, so I’m expecting a marked improvement second up here.

SANDOWN – RACE 4 1000m 14:45 AEST

SUN CITY ($3.35)

Resumes here today after a lengthy spell, in fact, he has not raced since December. He did however, put a strong trial win over the likes of Music Bay and Cranbourne and should be ready to go here. Showcased his talent last prep with a narrow second, before breaking his maiden status at Group 3 level.

SANDOWN – RACE 7 1400m 16:30 AEST

JUMBO OZAKI ($2.20)

This looks like a race in two between Jumbo Ozaki and Rox The Castle, the former which I think can score here. Didn’t seem to handle the Heavy track first up but should take great benefit from the run and back to a Good track here should be perfect. Jumbo Ozaki should be able to sit just behind the leaders in a gun position and prove too strong for them in the straight.

BLUEY’S BEST VALUE

RANDWICK – RACE 5 1550m 15:45 AEST

MAPMAKER ($8.50)

Consistent gelding who has been running well at a slightly higher grade than this, albeit Saturday grade. Finished within a length and a half of The Avenger two starts back before going down narrowly last start. Adam Hyeronimus can use barrier 1 to his advantage. Ultra-consistent horse and I’m expecting him to run well again here.

*Odds correct at time of writing
