- MOUNT FUJI ($3.20)
Mount Fuji resumes here for the Snowden camp after a 187-day spell. He looks well placed in this field & should be ready to go first up, having had three trials leading in. He’s yet to score a win in his three career starts, but has had excuses in each run (mostly respiratory/recovery), so I’m keen to see what he can do with a clean run.
- CUEILLIR ($4.00)
Cueillir has only had the two starts, but looks to have a lot of talent and plenty of upside to come. He won impressively on debut, coming out last but turning in an impressive win to get up late. Last start he was out slowly again, but proved that his turn of foot on debut was no fluke, putting in a scintillating run to win by 1.5L. He’ll have to sort his starts out, but has the turn of foot to take it to the next level.
- EXPLOSIVE TRUTH ($3.60)
This looks to be a race between two in this small field. Soami looks hard to beat after two strong runs to kick off his prep, but I’m siding with Explosive Truth, who is coming off an explosive win last start. He was given a freshen after failing at Wyong earlier in the prep & returned in great style, winning by 4 lengths last start. A repeat of that performance would see him measure up here.

- ENDURING NIGHT ($18)
Enduring Night was good first up after striking interference at the start. The Coyle trained mare was resuming on a Heavy track and sat last after her early bump; she finished off well to get within 1.5L of the winner, who led throughout. She sticks at the same grade here & will no doubt take improvement from that run. She looks a great value bet at the price.
